"Luffy!", the high pitched voice of the young girl yelled out as she chased after the young boy. Despite being a year older than him, she was noticeably shorter than the younger male. Her petite figure stumbled after him, as he looked back and taunted her, his tongue protruding from his lips.
Giggling at the boy's silly antics, she continued to run after him. Their laughter rung out in the air creating a joyous atmosphere. The pair spent the day running around until the late afternoon. Exhausted from their eventful day they sat along the docks, gazing at the ocean waves as the rolled on by.

Smoke billowed into the air, the thick smog engulfing everything in its path. Swirling fires raged on, villagers running about like headless chickens, attempting to put them out. {name] stood in the middle of it all, gazing around at the destruction before her. Coughing as smoke invaded her lungs, a burning rising up in her chest. Clumsily navigating her way through the chaos the girl tried to reach her home.
Stumbling around the corner, her petite legs gave out under her. Knees knocking as they grazed the harsh gravel road below. Wincing at the sharp pain that formed, the young girl rolled onto her side, bracing herself with her arms. Bloodshot eyes gazed up at the house before them...
Oh, it was hers. Grasping at the ground below she struggled to pull herself up. Streams of tears blurred her vision as [name] rose to her feet. The home she grew up in, where they had family dinners and her father would tell her tales of his adventures, was now a pile of rubble. The walls of the house had caved in on itself, leaving a gruesome and heart wrenching sight.
Her sobs and wails rung out through the air but remained deaf to the ears of others as the young girl was swept up in the night, vanished without a trace.
