She walks around her new house taking in every room trying to find hers. She turns down the hall and sees a door with her name painted on a board decorated with butterflies and flowers, "Elizabeth" she reads, she hates her first name. She hated it so much that she made her whole family call her betty at age 4.

She twisted the door handle and pushes open the doors to revel a yellow floral printed wallpaper. She walks in running her fingers along the Edge if her white desk, she walks up to a window with a set, she moves the box that sat their and replaced it with herself. She looked out the window and admired her new neighborhood. "Betty Sweety would you like to come grocery shopping with me?" Her mom shout from below the stairs as her 10 year old self excitedly jumps up grabbing her coat and ran out the door "coming mama!" She shouts running down the stairs.

The bell rings, the raven haired boy turned his head and sees a mom and a girl waking in. His eyes landed on the girl. He gazes at her, her blonde locks in two side braids with a pink bow at the end of both, her green eyes landed in his, she smiles and that was enough for him to lose control of himself, he drops the jar of gumdrop candies looking away from her to look down at the mess he had made, he jumps down from his stool to pick up the glass shards but his dad had walked in and pulled him away "jughead boy don't touch glass it's dangerous, let me see did you cut yourself?" His father ask as little jughead looks around the store desperately to see the blonde beauty who was now out of his sight.

She walks around with her mom and all she could think about his beautiful ocean blue eyes and that silly little crowned beanie that was oddly very cute to her. She softly smiles to herself as she pictures him in her head. As her and her mother approached the register she hoped to see him again, and lucky she did, he sat their on the stool reading his little comic book with his little circle black glasses, just as she thought he couldn't be more cute.

"Did you find everything alright?" Jugheads father said as Betty's mother smiles and replies "yes I did!" Whilst the parents had their little conversations. Little jughead looks up from his book and there she is, looking up at him like he's the most adorable and handsome boy she's every laid her eyes on. She smiles at him, he returns to her a little side smile back and that was enough for her to feel little butterflies in her belly.

That night the two little 10 year olds laid in their beds wondering what this odd feeling in their belly's were, wondering why the images of each other was printed in their head. Oh boy did the two have heart eyes for each other.

They're both 17 and they still felt the same way, though just a little stronger now due to the both of them having glow ups. Neither of them still hadn't said a word even after all these years. Jughead would form words in his head but was never able to form the words when she was standing there in front of him it seemed like she had this control over him, he'd freeze up in front of her and would never be able to look into her eyes like he was able to do back then because if he did he'd feel like an idiot.
And maybe if he knew she felt the same way about him and maybe he she knew he felt the same way about her they both would've beat themselves less.
