Chapter 14

Draco's POV

Lost! I was lost in the forbidden forest and it was all Potter's fault, first with the detention and now with running after him through a forest. I honestly don't know why I can never control myself around him, it seemed anytime he was near I just couldn't help myself no matter how hard I tried. It all started when I offered my hand to him during our first year and he had the nerve to brush me off without even giving me a chance, all I wanted to do was get to know him. Slowing my pace down to a slow walk from the running I was doing I looked around trying to figure out where I was and how in the world to get out of the dense forest. The trees and brush were so thick that even though it was in the middle of the day it seemed like it was night, there was almost no light at all.

I have no idea how long I spent wandering around the forest when I heard the rustling of brush coming from my right then with luck I was able to spot a body running past me a little way in the distance, it had to be Potter. Calling out I tried to get his attention, being lost in the woods with Potter would be better in being lost in the woods alone. The figure which I assumed was Potter just kept running even with me calling after him like he didn't hear me at all, which is ridiculous at this distance and how loud I yelled out to him there was no way he didn't hear me. Realizing that I was going to lose him once again and I had no desire for that to happen I took after him at top speed hoping to stop him before he vanished into the dark abyss.

"Potter, stop this insistence!" Still the boy kept running

"Potter!" I watched in horror as he seemed to trip over something and was sent down a hill that I had no idea was there, one second he was there and the next he was gone. I stood there still as a statue not able to move, what seemed like hours which I knew were just mere seconds passed by until I heard what sounded like something hitting water. 'Oh shit there must have been some kind of water down there.' I thought to myself, I waited to hear the movement of Potter moving around and getting out of the water but there was nothing. I stood there for a few more moments thinking that any second Potter would come climbing up the hill with another story to tell all his doting fans, but yet there was no smug Potter climbing up the hill. Deciding I was done with waiting around I stepped over the edge and peered down trying to see the bottom, but it was completely black down there. Slipping down the embankment I made my way down only to see a sight that made my heart stop, there in the water lay Harry Potter. A Harry Potter that was not breathing, a Potter that was face down in the murky water. Rushing the rest of the way down the hill I ran straight into the water to where Potter laid motionless, grabbing at him I tried as best I could to pull him out of the water and up onto the embankment. AN: (I don't know if Wizards learn CPR since they are wizards but in this story they do!) Starting CPR I tried to get the boy to cough up the water in his lungs, hoping that I wasn't too late.

After a little while of CPR I was thinking that I was too late and he wasn't going to make it, that Harry Potter would die right there in my arms. But then all of a sudden Potter's body jerked violently was it tried to expel the water in his lungs. Rolling him onto his side I hit him on the back hoping that it would help, after he took a few deep breaths I rolled him back on his back. Peering down at him you could tell that he was paler than a ghost and there was blood coming from a cut on his forehead.

"Potter, open your eyes." I told him since he still had his eyes close fighting to fight the darkness

"Potter!" As if my yelling had woken him from his sleep his eyes slowly slid open to reveal his bright green eyes.

'Malfoy... What's going on? How did I get here?"

"No Potter I'm pretty sure it's you who needs to tell me what's going on, and why in your right mind would you decide it was a good choice to go running into the Forbidden Forest alone." Furring his eyebrows as if not sure what in the world I was talking about when understandment seemed to cross through his head after a while.

"I panicked... I needed to get out of there. They were all looking at me."

"That's why you went running in here like it was the best idea you ever had, all because people were looking at you. Potter people stare at you all the time."

"Yeah but not for this, they looked so disgusted. Like I was just the worst person in the world for being his son."

"Potter what in the world are you talking about?" He must have really hit his head hard, nothing he was saying was making any sense.

"You... You don't know?" He sounded almost surprised

"No Potter I have no idea what in the world you are talking about, how about you explain it."

"That I'm..."

"Come on Potter just spit it out."

"I'm Snape's son." And just like that he was out again leaving me to process what had just came out of his mouth alone. Snape's son, what in the world was he going on about? Harry James Potter is definitely not Snape's son; he was James Potter's son, hell everyone was always going on about how much he looked like his father. Looking down at the boy I only then noticed the slight changes that had somehow taken place since the last time I had seen him. The hair was slightly different and his bone structure wasn't the same as it had always been, you could absolutely tell he was a Snape. What in the world had happened in the last few hours that he was in detention?
