jaemin sighs as he looks down at his phone, "nana, huh?" he locked his phone and continue walking to the ryan café to meet his 7days more boyfriend.

"hey, you're early."
"yeah...shall we order?" the blonde smiles

after ordering their food, it got quiet and awkward. renjun finally broke the silence, "nana... you know, before you were my boyfriend, you were my best friend and i hope we'd be at least friends even after you losing feelings for me, please, jaemin, at least for the next 7days, i hope we can go back to how everything was before all this happened-before we fell in love with each other." the elder gave a faint smile

jaemin smiled and nodded. all the memories came rushing back to him. renjun was right, before any of this happened, they were best friends, they only had each other, they knew each other through and through, they were always there for one another emotionally, mentally and physically, they were inseparable. "how did it come down to this?" jaemin thought to himself

he missed those times with his renjun.

"alfredo linguine pasta and bacon aglio olio?" the waiter served their pasta catching both their attention.

"thank you." renjun smiled and thanked the waiter

"u-uhm, sorry for interrupting but is the guy in front of you your boyfriend?" the waiter asked the blonde

the blue haired shot his head up and stared at his boyfriend wondering how he was going to reply to that.

renjun looked up, confused "well, not really. why?"

"then can i get your number? you're totally my type." the waiter smiled as he lifted his arms to pass renjun his phone

"i-i'm uhm, alright, i guess." renjun stuttered and blushed, it was his first time getting hit on- not to mention by a rather cute waiter

as they exchanged numbers, a certain male was not really sure why he was feeling a pang in his heart, he was jealous and he didn't know why. after all, he was the one who wanted to break up with renjun.

"i guess i'll see you around, jeno?" renjun smiled, looking down at his newly added contact, unsure of how to pronounce his name

"yeap, oh no, i have to go now or my manager is going to kill me for slacking off work. i'll message you!" jeno eye smiled as he walked away

"i'm done eating."
"nana, are you sure you're done? you haven't even taken a bite."
"yeah, i'm sure. i just don't have the appetite to eat."
"alright...but i hope you remember that i'm still your best friend and you can talk to me about anything." the elder smiled, worried

"yeah...i know."

as much as renjun giving away his number affected him, more than that, he was more affected at the fact that renjun said he wasn't his boyfriend. he knew he shouldn't be feeling this way. he was the one who wanted to break up with renjun in the first place. if not for renjun's 7 days request, they'd have broken up by now. so why? "why am i so selfish and indecisive"  jaemin wanted to mentally and emotionally slap himself
