chappy 6. quirk battles

It didn't take long after bakugous explanation for the matches to begin . the beginning matches were over quickly with the first two names pulled being

Hagakure vs mina

both girls were often seen together so people could assume they were best friends but , when it came down to it everyone realized this is still the hero's course and what needs to get done gets done . the fight ended quickly with mina tracking her acid around using footsteps , although she couldn't see hagakure clearly due to her invisible quirk she followed the gloves her friend had always been seen wearing .

While placing the acid to her footsteps mina ran around hagakure's body to trap her inside by her acid footsteps. similar to how a dog tracks mud through the house but minas was well planned . With hagakure now being trapped in a never ending circle of acid she had officially lost the match granting mina permission to move up to the next battle.

mina vs lida

this match was over before it could even start with lida blasting off with recipo burst and pinning mina to the ground after throwing the later on his shoulder taking her for a couple a spins with his quirk around the arena & then slamming her down .

lida still couldn't use his quirk that much due to it not being available for a long time but he had been working on it and could now go way longer than he had realizing he could slow down his engines in order to create a push pull effect that would slow him down enough to not waste his energy . For the time he could push it to its extent he used it to blow through almost 3 matches .

lida vs shoji

ending with lida not even giving sato time to use his sugar rush quirk and pushing him off to the far end and dropping him over his left shoulder

lida vs aoyama

with lida just waiting , timing , or dodging for the moment when Aoyoma would have to stop to avoid a belly ache. As soon as that moment came he wasted no time in speeding over grabbing aoyama and landing him on the ground and aoyama giving up the match to avoid scuffling his "shining" hero costume .

lida vs sero

lida knew his time was running out but he had to at least get through this match .

lida jetted over behind sero thinking he had caught him off guard but , noticed sero's left arm turn back twisting in an l shape and shooting tape to attach to the way behind them .

Lida who didn't see this coming zoomed right into the tape tripping and falling as his engine sputtered & left him on the floor giving sero enough time to officially close out the match and tape lida's legs over deeming him ineligible to continue any matches .

sero vs jiro

jiro avoided series of tape by bouncing around the area and jumping with ease moving back .

As soon as sero had a moment of hesitation to think jiro plugged her ears into the ground omitting a horribly loud sound that crumpled seros tape to bits , like fire on paper, taken aback sero stumbled and fell back in the wall with jiro switching up her sound and outputting a lullaby which cause sero to fall asleep immediately.

Making everyone in the arena laugh and causing aizawa to think

' although they seem they haven't changed much the ones who could have been easily overlooked last year are taking this a lot more serious and putting more thought into it ' .

the next matches ended just as quickly with

jiro vs denki

surprisingly denki had improved over the last year and didn't short circuit as often as he had before . he finally figured out how to exert his power without using all of it . this caught jiro off guard causing the real life pikachu to win and move on to the next match .

denki vs. koda with denki winning

denki vs tokyami

denki assumed he would win this round because everyone knew dark shadow couldn't handle light .

boy was he wrong tokyoyami quickly ended the match with using dark shadow as a cape and hiding away from the light . throwing denki off black shadow grabbed denki in a fist and right before he could slam him to the ground denki screamed

" I QUIT I QUIT OH LORD PLEASE I DONT WANNA GO JUST YET KIRI BAKUGOU PLEASE HELP "

" PFFT and here's the one who just bragged about his new quirk change"

bakugou said underneath his breath .

y/n couldn't help but think when do the real battles begin not that she wasn't enjoying the ones now but they weren't long or even had any thought to them simply stated they were just .... battles with no meaning or passion to them she wanted to see real battles .

a real fight of quirks .

little did she know how fast her dream would come true as the people who were in the top of the class had yet to put on the performance they so desperately wanted to .
