chappy 10 . the awaited battle

The whole class awaited bakugous answer to such rudeness . They had seen bakugou time and time again yell when he felt disrespected more often times than not he yelled just to yell .

Much to their surprise what they saw was bakugou holding you in his arms staring down from his seat at shouto with distaste.

bakugou couldn't explain why he felt so strongly to protect y/n from the situation going on . he knew for sure he didn't like her and he was right .

bakugou didn't like y/n well, not like that anyway y/n was not bakugous type she had shown this several times over and over how soft she was .

Baukugou liked girls who pushed themselves and didn't let themselves get walked over that's exactly what y/n was not . yet, he couldn't explain to you why he was now sitting here comforting the exact same person he wanted to beat to assure his top spot in the class.

It had been 2 years since bakugou stopped screaming . He noticed after his first year at UA his idiotic attitude wasn't going to work . Although he hadn't changed much on the outside you could say bakugou had an internal conflict he had finally taken care of . He still hated being around deku but he learned to manage .

If anything he had the most change in the whole class regardless of quirks .

bakugou turned to y/n and pushed her head up making eye contact

" i'm going down now , I won't be back up here so i'll be expecting you down in the arena as soon as the match is over I hate waiting"

bakugou pushed himself out of the chair and walked down to the arena he didn't care if shouto had it out for y/n or not he simply felt like if it's not his family , it's not his business. He honestly had been wanting to beat icy hot ever since the original quirk battle when he wouldn't give his all to fight him .

when bakugou finally made his way to the starting spots shouto called out to him

" so shacking up with my sister huh , guess you really have changed thought you wanted be top hero so bad ? I say you watch her you stay with her and she'll steal all your hard work from under you "

" I don't like your sister it's more of a one sided crush on me , she's not my type "

shouto felt himself getting heated at how calm and insensitive bakugou could be at the same time

shouto blasted off his ice cause bakugou to aim his hand and blast off the ice running around it . shouto fired ice off to where bakugou was running and
bakugou dodged each one and slid underneath and kicked shoutos legs from underneath his .

this was bakugous arena , he finally had everyone at full attention and he wasn't going to lose them now. he reached down picked shouto up and punched shouto in his stomach sending shouto flying backwards .

shouto using his ice as something to fall back on cushioned the blow by turning it to water as soon as he made contact with it .

bakugou got back into a fighting stance to try to do what he did all over again to wear shouto down .

shouto threw an ice wall out towards bakugou to slow him down

third person pov

everyone on the upper level couldn't help but watch confused as the once calm shouto was now replaced by a evil demeanor somewhat like he had finally snapped . no one could blame him all his trauma had finally come to a head and no one but y/n could be the blame .

they continued watching as shouto was trying to protect himself from the now calm and collected bakugou all through the fight they all raised their eyes in shock realizing shouto was now on defense whereas bakugou was on offense .
