as the whistle was rung and was heard throughout the arena deku ran to shouto trying to get him to calm down with shouto ignoring his pleas and attempts and throwing ice at him with deku avoiding them .
shouto slid a long piece of ice across the arena floor to attack deku but deku used his feet to leap up while using all for one and using the friction from his foot to slice through the ice breaking it in half and kept running towards shouto .
Shouto starting to get annoyed that deku wasn't the innocent naive young boy he used to be in battle tried to minimize the closing space between him and deku and put up a wall so he could slow deku down .

Shouto taken back by the action was preparing to fight hand to hand with deku. when the later cautiously walked up to him and didnt even try to resume the fight instead he walked closer to shouto leaving almost 2 people worth of room and started talking
