Bakugo
Two days. That's how long I had to tell him. If I didn't, I would die in the following week. D**n doctors. Three more days. Within three days of my confession, he has to accept my love and return it. Long story short, I have 9 days at most until I die. What to do? What to do? I take out my phone, scrolling through the hundreds of messages that have filled my phone in the few days I have been in the hospital. Hair for Brains, Dunce Face, Racoon Eyes, All Might, Aizawa, and... Deku. A lot of messages from Deku, actually. Nerd. Worrying about me and s**t. He should just give up on me. I'm a lost cause anyway.
I hear a loud bang from behind me and my attention turns to the door as Hair for Brains barges in. I drop my phone to my side and my arms are pinned to the bed as the redhead crushes me with his weight. "I heard what happened. You have to tell whoever it is!! I don't care about your stupid feelings nor do I care about his! You have to live." By this time, he is in full tears and my shirt is soaked with the fluids that have come continuously out of his eyes. I pat his back, trying to make a comforting gesture in this awkward position. "How long? How long until I lose my best friend?!" His grip on me loosens and he looks into my eyes. I look away. "Two weeks." He wipes his eyes. "Then we're going to make this the best two weeks of your life!"
"No. I just want to continue everything like usual. And maybe spend some time... with him." I scratch the back of my neck, shyly. "So it's someone you don't hang out with often! Hmm... Mineta?"
"Too perverted."
"Iida?"
"Too uptight."
"Aoyama?"
"Too much like my dad."
"Todoroki?"
"No way!!"
"Then, there's only one more option." I look at him, challenging him to guess. "Deku."
"Don't you call him that!" I tackle him to the ground, ready to throw a punch. I get off of him and sit back on the bed. I let out a long, exasperated sigh. "It is him. Isn't it?!"
"So what if it is? It's not like he'd ever feel the same! Not after what I did to him!"
"I was right! I was right!" Kirishima runs around the room, basking in his victory. A nurse comes in the room and the redhead stills. "You can leave whenever you wish, Katsuki Bakugo. You're done here unless you do choose to have the surgery." With that, she starts to close the door. "Oi! Nurse!" She opens the door back up. "Yes?"
"What happens if I do get the surgery?"
"You'll forget everything about the person you love and if you're ever around them again, the disease will come back."
"Of course. Have a nice day," I say, trying to be nice.
"You too." She leaves with a frown, probably disappointed that I wouldn't be adding to her paycheck. I pack my stuff and get ready to leave. As I'm about to open the door, Hair for Brains stops me. "You have one day to tell him and if you don't, I will drag you here myself and make sure you have the surgery, even if I'm the one cutting into you, Bro." I look at him and his steely gaze softens. "I love you, bro." He hugs me, tightly, a few tears landing on my shoulder. "I can't lose you." I pull back from the hug and put my hands on his shoulders. "Look at me! I'm going to be fine," but as soon as I say that, I run to the nearest trashcan, and flower petals continuously come out of my mouth. Fantastic. While I'm puking my guts out, Hair for Brains leaves, and I follow soon after. As I walk to my house, I see that the lights are on. Who could be home? My dad's in America selling some new line of fashion and the old hag went on vacation for at least the next month. I get my key out of my pocket, holding it with one hand and warming up an explosion with the other. I open the door but see nobody. I sigh and walk through the door. I probably forgot to turn the lights off before I left for the hospital. I walk to the kitchen, preparing myself some ramen and while it's cooking I turn on the news to see what's happening because, at the hospital, the news would not come on because it gave people anxiety attacks apparently. The show comes to the end of the segment and a commercial fills the screen. I pick up the pot I was cooking ramen in and fill a bowl with it. "I'm the future number one hero and I'm here to tell you that you should buy-" DEKU?! I looked at the tv, nearly dropping my ramen, and sure enough, the greenette was on the tv, standing proudly and showcasing some hero tool. I take my ramen to my bedroom and drop on the bed, setting my bowl in my lap. I take my phone out and toss it on the bed in front of me. "Okay, Alexa." It makes a ding sound. "Call Deku." I didn't even hear my phone ring before I heard the nerd's voice. "Kacchan! How are you? Are you okay? Why aren't you at the dorms? Are you at your house? I'm coming over to your house right now! Bye All Might I'll be back later! One for All 65%. So like what's going on??"
"Chill out nerd. There's no reason to come to my house."
"But Kacchan! I have to make sure you're alright!!"
"Come if you want. You have an invitation anytime but it's a mess."
"So what is wrong with you, Kacchan?" He starts to gasp for air.
"I don't know if you would really want to know if I told you." He hangs up the phone but I hear his voice seconds later. He stands in my doorway. "Of course I want to know, Kacchan."
"I have Hanekei."
"So do I."
