There was a long pause before I spoke again. "So where do you want me to meet you?" I ask him.
"Where are you now? I'll pick you up," He tells me. I oblige and tell him to meet me at the skating rink so I can get a bit of a jog in. After that, I hang up. I run and run, letting my thoughts go to the pain in my legs rather than in my heart. There are lit up candy canes and inflated snowmen all around me trying to spread their holly jolly spirit. Unfortunately for them, I've decided I have the right to be a Grinch this year. Santa Claus can't make me happy with a toy anymore. I'm not a child anymore. I have to deal with Hanekei, a disease children only know tales of. I have to deal with not knowing if the love of my life actually loves me. I have to deal with the fact that I might die in a few days. I collapse on the ground, unable to breathe, unable to feel the ground underneath me, only the hot tears continuously streaming down my face. The world is blurry. I regain feeling in my hand and attempt to find my phone but I cannot. The song rings out. I soon see a red truck with a bag similar to Santa's in the back.
I wake up warm, the snow no longer surrounding me. A jolly voice greets me. "You're awake Katsuki Bakugo!" I have to blink many, many times to accept the fact that I am looking at a fat man, with a red suit on, and a white beard. "Santa?" I ask. He nods. "I thought you weren't real," I tell him, shyly, feeling like a child. "I'm perfectly real." He points ahead of him, to reindeer in the sky. "And that's Donner, Dasher, Dancer, Cupid, Vixen, Prancer, Blitzen, Comet, and Rudolph." I'm in awe. One by one they turn to me, smiling and greeting me with a casual, "Hey." I smile back, for the first time in what feels like an eternity. "So, you have never once sent me a Christmas list so that's 18 years I have to make up for. What would you like?" He asks me. I smile weakly at him. "I just want to live. Call it selfish but I want to live and kiss Deku a lot more and maybe one day we'll have a future." The reindeer all gawk at my response and my cheeks flush. "But you already have that," Santa tells me. I look at him confused. "Cupid show him."
Cupid looks at me and I see me and Deku in bed. "I love you Kacchan," he whispers, raking his hands through my messy bangs. Soon, two girls that resemble Deku and I closely jump on my chest. "Wake up, Daddy! It's Christmas! I want to see what Santa brought us!" I chuckle. "I'm sure it'll be the present of your dreams if you let Daddy sleep five more minutes," I tell them. "Dad," They whine to Deku. "Go fix yourself some hot chocolate and get some cookies and Daddy and I will be down shortly." The girls nod eagerly, rushing out of the room. I close my eyes again, wishing for sleep. "Kacchan." My eyes flutter open at the second mention of the nickname. He kisses my lips, causing me to kiss back. He parts from my lips. "I woke you up!" He gets out of bed, throwing on a green robe with red Christmas trees on it. I wrap my arms around him, spinning him around and kissing him much more passionately. "You tease. I hate you," I tell him. "I love you too, Kacchan." He smiles, kissing my cheek. I put my robe on, which is red with green Christmas trees. He takes my hand and leads me down a never-ending stairwell.
I jump up, the surrounding scenery changing. "You're up," a voice says from quite a distance. I look to see Auntie Inko in the doorway. "Yes ma'am." She giggles. "All formal when you just woke up. My little Izuku could learn a thing or two from you. When he wakes up he's all like, 'Stay away from me or I'll Detroit Smash you. I need sleep." I laugh at that. "I can't imagine that," I tell her. She points beside me. "See for yourself." I look to see Deku with his arms wrapped tightly around my waist. "Hey," I tell him, nudging his head only to get no reply. Inko laughs but I don't see why. Something could be wrong. I shake him, rapidly. "Nerd?!" He stirs at this, sitting up and rubbing his eyes. "Stay the heck away from me! It's too early in the morning for all this! I could kill you ya know?!" He then sees me and hugs me, his mood changing immediately. "You're awake, Kacchan!" I laugh. "Yeah, nerd." Inko leaves and I feel something stir underneath my feet. I then see a fluff of red hair. I pull the covers up, revealing Kirishima. He looks up, seeing me, and joining Deku in hugging me. I look at the two. "You two look like s**t." They laugh. "We know." Deku smiles and Kirishima lets me go. "It's a Christmas miracle, Kacchan." He kisses me numerous times and I get flushed, embarrassed that he's making such a big deal with Kirishima in the same room as us. "I love you," he admits, smiling all the while. I smile back. Kissing his lips firmly. "I love you, too," I whisper, pulling away.
