A young girl could be seen walking through the forest searching for Grimm to fight. This girl was carrying a weapon on her back searching for Grimm or hoping for them to show up. This girl was Ruby Rose.
Ruby: I'm bored. No Grimm, usually they attack immediately.
Ruby spots a cave and decides to test her luck. She explores the inside for a few minutes. When she is about to turn around and leave she spots something at the corner of her eye.
Ruby's eyes widen when spotting a giant robot leaning on the wall of the cave. She walks up to it slowly to avoid Awaking it. She steps on something and trips on it. She looks down and sees a giant shield.
Ruby inspects the robot's chest when seeing a giant hole revealing something shining. She also spots the damage on his its head and stomach.
Ruby: Maybe I could fix this.
Ruby leaves the cave and rushed home to grabs her tools.
(Few hour later)
Ruby has been trying her best to fix the damage to the best of her ability. She managed to fix most of the Damage on the robot's stomach. She brings her attention to the Damage on its chest. She takes a moment to inspect the damage.
Ruby: What could of caused this to you?
Ruby grabs her tools and starts to fix the damage on the chest. She jumps off the Robot to grabs a tool she needs. Ruby misses the Robot's eyes flickering on. Ruby turns around and jumps back when hearing the robot moving.
???: Where am I?
The robot said weakly. It tries to stand but falls against the wall once again. It grunts in pain not having the strength to stand. Ruby finally speaks up.
Ruby: Um. Who are you?
The robot finally notices Ruby and answers her question.
???: My name is Sentinel Pr- Just Sentinel.
Ruby: How did you get here Sentinel?
Sentinel: I don't know.
Ruby: Well, If I have your permission. Can I finish repairing you.
Sentinel notices his system are mostly damaged. He looks down towards his Stomach and nods. Ruby gets back to work and Sentinel powers down to rest.
