jules turned off the ringer and tucked her phone in her pocket. she placed her head in her hands and sighed

how could i be so stupid? this is probably his was of saying 'fuck you'

"hey"

a voice spoke from in front of her. she picked her head up to see a boy she's never met before. a middle part with dirty blonde hair, green eyes, a pink and white button up, and khakis.

"hi?"

"is this seat taken by any chance?"

jules looked at the door waiting for asher to walk in. he was no where to be found. she then turned back to the boy in front of her

"no it's not"

he took a seat in front of her and smiled

his bright, radiant smile was very contagious and suddenly brightened her mood in the slightest

"so talk to me. what's up? you seemed stressed"

she looked down at the table and played with the menu below her

the boy asked before she could even get a word out. she looked up at him confused

"yeah actually. how'd you know?"

he shrugged

"lucky guess probably...i also over heard your waiter. he seemed a little rude"

"i mean i won't argue with it..so what about you. i'm sure you didn't get dressed up to be sitting with a stranger in a restaurant"

"how about we get out of here. and who knows. maybe our dates will show up but jokes on them because we'll be long gone"
