this story is about being left by a loved one after finding out their significant other is pregnant
(kinda gave away the plot but just thought i'd put a warning just in case)

"you left me!"

the girl spoke through her tears. her voice cracking and her nose beginning to run as moments from that night ran around in her head

"i'm sorry...what?"

the boy stood up with panic clearly visible on his face

"i'm p-pregnant.."

she stuttered

"oh my god! what are we gonna do?! we can't do this! we're twenty! sure that seems like a normal age to have a kid but we cant do this! we can't raise a child"

"baby i've already thought everything through i promise"

"it won't go as planned. there's always something that goes wrong. what if we find out it isn't mine! oh my god!"

"noah"

the girl got up and held his shaking hands in hers

"we got this ok? we can do this. everything's planned out. that extra guest bedroom we have down the hall will be the baby's nursery. that's already step one right?"

he nodded his head as a small smile appeared on his face

"right. step one's done"

she leaned up and kissed him on the cheek as he began to pull her into a hug. he hugged her tightly as he let his fake smile fade away

"you made me think you wouldn't leave!"

the next morning the girl woke up and saw that her boyfriend wasn't next to her. but what was next to her was a note

'i'm sorry lauren. tell our baby i love them. i just couldn't be there'

"but then you left me the next day! you fucking asshole!"

she shouted at the man she barley knew anymore with nonstop tears streaming down her face

"lauren i'm sorry..and i know that cant fix what i did but-"

"your right! a stupid 'i'm sorry' can't fix shit! nothing can! unless your some outstanding scientist that can build a time machine!"

"lauren please let me speak"

he begged her but she wasn't trying to listen to a word he was saying

"you know i had to lie to our son! everyday he asked me 'when's daddy coming home?' every fucking day noah! everyday i told him 'he'll be here soon' but you never showed! he stopped asking me! our own son lost faith in his father! do you have any idea how fucked that it?! a six year old doesn't even believe in you!"

everything she was holding in for the past 7 years just poured out of her

"laur believe me i kno-"

"oh believe you?! you want me to believe you?!"

"i know i did wrong. ok and i couldn't be more sorry for my past. i walked out because i was scared and i wish i never did. by far that's my biggest regret. leaving you"

he walked closer to her and gently took her hands into his. almost every single memory she made with him crossed her mind at just the touch of his hand. she almost felt safe. but then she remembered the pain she went through. the nights she drove to johnny's house because her house reminded her to much of him. the times jules walked in on her having a panic attack due to all the stress. the therapy sessions she had to attend to help limit her stress because the baby was in danger. she pulled her hands away from his causing his smile to drop

"noah...you cant do this. you can't just leave and come back like that. i'm sorry.."
