"BROKEN HEART"

Ariel's POV:

"We need to talk."

Yeah so then we talked and it resulted in him slamming the car door shut with a loud thud when we arrived at school. I mean, i only asked him to stay away from me and he didn't take the 'rejection' very well. But i mean he didn't even insist on anything, just left. But then again, I don't think i meant that much to him either. Considering how HUGE his ego is, why would he insist and why the heck am i bummed out about it. Ugh. I am doing that thing again that i do. How i overthink every frikkin thing. Teenage drama. So many different thoughts flooding my mind.

So the next week was extremely awkward. Just like how it was right when I started this job. When we were complete strangers. Second week. Awkward too. Reminds me of those lyrics. "Not funny how it changes, ended up like strangers." Sigh. Today he talked to me a little, just a little. But i am okay with that. I mean as much as i want to jump on him and kiss the life out of him at times. Like two days ago, when i walked in on him doing push ups in his room oof don't ask or yesterday when he looked hot af in that green hoodie that he was wearing which the color of his eyes was matching perfectly. Oh how his eyes changes color with every shirt that he wears. Isn't he like.....magnificent...

Joey's POV:

-few days later-

I've been keeping my distance from Ariel after the day she told me to. I kinda don't want to but thats what she wants. To be "just friends". Then that is what we will be. Its a little hard to stay away tho. I don't want to admit it but, there's just something about her that just attracts me towards her. Like I cannot get her out of my mind. I don't want to be just friends with her. But I can't do anything about it either. She was very clear that she doesn't want to be involved with me. She just wanna do her job in peace. Maybe i should just try to get her out of my head and maybe it's about time i meet some other girls cause i think its just a little attraction that i will get over. Nothing more. I hope.

She picked up her stuff and got out of my room. We were doing an assignment together. Well, she was. I also went downstairs to go to the kitchen when my dad came in and started talking to Ariel. I went to the kitchen, grabbed a drink and came back out. I flopped on the couch and they were still talking.

"Its the 5th today?" My father asked smiling looking at his phone and Ariel grinned nodding her head. "I remember. We used to celebrate Sarah's birthday every year with a huge party." He laughed. "Oh. Good old days." They chatted a bit more, while i kept myself busy in my phone. So it's her mom's birthday today and she is going to surprise her and suddenly my dad thinks it would be a great idea if he joined them too.

"Oh my God! That would be amazing!" Ariel said excitedly beaming like a little kid.

"Joey? You should come too." Dad said and then somehow they dragged me in too. Why did i agree again? Maybe because i was gonna be bored at home anyways or maybe i just wanna be around her more. So...My dad went out first, leaving me and Ariel alone. Dad is going to the office first, an urgent piece of work, so i am taking Ariel. We are getting the decorations and gifts and dad will join us later with the cake. We got everything we needed and then went to their house. I just sat on the couch while Ariel was working her ass off decorating the place. This girl is super dedicated to.......everything.

"Can you at least help me with the balloons?" She said throwing the packet of balloons at me. I gave her a 'you gotta be kidding me' look and threw them aside. She frowned and started decorating again. After a while Ariel was walking here and there looking for something. "Where the hell is that little stool when i need it now?" She was roaming around the house looking everywhere for that 'little stool'. I sighed and turned to her.
