The wind blew gently across the ford, the sun beamed down creating just the right amount of warmth, as I laid spanned out across the grass. I gazed up into the sky wanting something more to my life then being stuck in a castle. Today the sky glowed in the pearliest of blues with the clouds wiping across. I watched in fascination as two Jedi starfighters bolted across the crystal blue galaxy. Every time I would see Jedi, it reminds me of how much hope they gave the people. Being the protectors of the galaxy and raising hope in every corner. I have always pondered upon the idea of what life would be like without the Jedi, our protectors. I could not imagine what that would be like. Continuing to watch the sky, it became relaxing, especially under my favorite tree which overlooked the castle, it shined so bright in the distance. The people adored my parents, their rule over the world meant so much to the people, for the hope they gave them . I knew that one day I would have to rule in their footsteps which was not going to be the easiest thing. I knew that when the time came I was going to make them proud and do everything I could for my people. Then my mom busted into my thoughts. Me and her always love to sit together, she placed her arm around my shoulder. Every time she spoke it was soothing, it gave me a sense of peace and security.
"Soon this will be yours to rule, and you will soon need to rise to challenge..."
I sprang out of bed and woke up completely drenched in sweat. I quickly glanced around the room, the sun just started to peak across the room. I glared down at the floor as the dream faded out of my mind. The sunlight flowed into the room, in the distance I heard bells ringing. It was my coronation. The fact that I actually had to lead my people, how to fill my parents shoes was absolutely terrifying. I had totally forgotten about my coronation, the thought had completely slipped my mind. Even the recurring dream of my past made it exceedingly hard to focus on the day at hand. My parents passed away a couple years ago, two years after the rise of the empire. All I have been concerned about was being able to rule my people and continue my parents legacy and of the kingdom.
I heard noise outside of my quarters, before I went to open the door, a voice rangout almost in a faint whisper"This is the day everything will change for you my dear."
It was my mother's voice, crystal clear as it rang out. The sound of the opening door broke the silence. "Did you hear that?" I asked my serving hand.
"No I did not, your majesty, is everything alright" she questioned.
"Everything is fine" I responded with uncertainty in every word.
"Then if all is well, it is time for your dress fitting" she told me as she quickly scurried off to pull out the coronation dress leaving me to my thoughts.
I turned around and glanced out the window to see the town below, and I knew that I would be able to rule them. I knew that I could fill the shoes of my parents, and do what must be done.
