Friday afternoon rolled around and Alex had grabbed the last of his stuff from his dorm, he made his way to the common room where he met Georgie and jade, "you ready?" Jade asked, alex nodded a little. He'd worked here a while and it just felt like home, he wasn't sure he was ready to go but he needed this move, for himself and for his relationship. "Are you going to perries tonight? Or staying at home" georgie asked, "I'm going to go. I've spent the last two nights on FaceTime to her until she fell asleep and she's been texting me pretty much constantly. I miss her" alex explained, "is she struggling being back at home then?" Jade said, "no not really, I think she's ok. It's just a big change from being here, it's mainly getting to sleep but she struggled with that here some nights anyway so it's not surprising" alex said. "Oh well that's good that she's doing ok, we'll have to meet up with you both soon" Georgie smiled, "yeah that'd be nice" alex said, "are you going straight to hers then?" Asked jade, "no I'm going home and getting changed first, and grabbing the dogs. She wants to meet them" alex explained, "aw bless her, I'm sure Otis and Leo will live her" Georgie laughed, "yeah I'm sure they will, she's got a dog anyway and so's her brother so there's already two dogs in their house" alex said. "Well enjoy yourself tonight, make the most of being in a safe space with each other finally after all this time" Georgie said, "thanks G. It'll be nice to finally be able to relax and not have to worry about people seeing us. I should probably head off now, I need to call her and let her know I'm finished here so she'll know I'm definitely coming" alex explained, "I can't believe you're leaving, I'll miss seeing your moody face in the mornings" jade laughed, "you should be grateful you no longer have to deal with me in the mornings. I'm gonna miss you guys" alex said, "we'll miss you too. You've been amazing to work with al you know. And we'll still stay friends. We should meet up in a few weeks and have a catch up, and we'll still talk all the time you won't get rid of us that easy" Georgie stated, "I'm glad I won't. You two have been the best colleagues I could've asked for and I'm so glad we're friends. I'll see you both soon then?" Alex said. "Yeah you will. Good luck with everything, keep us up to date" jade said, "of course, and you. Bye" alex said giving both girls a hug, "bye al" both girls said as he walked off out the door of the common room for the last time.
Alex called perrie on the way back to his house to let her know how long he'd be, he changed into some skinny joggers and a T-shirt and grabbed a jumper before heading back out with the dogs. On the way to perries he stopped at the supermarket and grabbed a box of chocolates and a nice fluffy pyjama set for her quickly making sure he didn't leave the dogs to long in the car. He just wanted to get a little something, almost like a welcome home present. He was proud of her and he wanted her to know and to feel appreciated.
He parked up outside perries house and grabbed the stuff he'd just bought from the passenger seat and getting out the car. He let the dogs out the car and they followed him up the drive to perries front door, alex rang the doorbell and waited patiently for an answer. Suddenly the door was opened by Jonnie, "hi man, how're you? Come in" he asked Alex as he opened the door, "hi, I'm good thanks. Are you?" Alex said stepping inside. "Yeah I'm great. You want a drink or anything?" Jonnie said, "I'm alright at the moment thanks though" alex smiled, "perries just in the room at the back. She's watching a film so she's probably not even heard you, let yourself in there though and the dogs. They're very chilled by the way, Bennie and Hatchi are the opposite" Jonnie laughed, "where are Bennie and Hatchi? I expected them to come running to the door" alex asked, "Katie's just taken Bennie for a walk and Hatchi is in the back room with Pez" Jonnie said, "ah right, thought they were quieter than how perrie had described them" he laughed, "haha don't worry they're probably not. Anyway I'm just going to finish off some work, if you need anything you're welcome to let yourself into the kitchen, there's a toilet upstairs first door on the left as well" jonnie said, "thanks mate, I'll see you in a bit probably" alex smiled, as Jonnie walked off he made his way to the back room and slowly opened the door hoping not to startle perrie. He walked inside the room and shut the door behind him turning back round to perrie embracing him in a tight hug, "I missed you" she mumbled into his chest, "I missed you too" alex smiled hugging her back and kissing her head. "How was your last day?" She asked still not letting go, "good, I had nothing to do and wasn't needed is just chilled and sorted my stuff out and left a little early" alex laughed. Perrie pulled out of the hug and gave Alex a kiss, "I've missed that too" alex smirked, "I brought you these. Not much I just stopped at the shops on the way here, wanted to get you a little something just as a welcome home and I love you kinda present" he said handing her the chocolates and pyjamas, "al, you didn't need to. You're so cute. These are so soft, I love them. Thank you" perrie smiled.
