Silence and Tears

Alex was just letting the dogs out before leaving to pick perrie up when his phone buzzed,

Matt: you lot are still up for this afternoon right? The other lads have dropped out
Alex: yeh mate
George: yeah, we are aren't we Beth?
Bethany: yes we are
Georgie: you already know I am but I'll say yes anyway
Matt: right good, I'm glad there's still people coming
Alex: you want me to bring anything?
Matt: nah not unless you can think of anything you want that I won't have
Alex: alright then, just after one still good?
George: was just about to ask the same, Beth and I will be there about 10 past probably
Matt: yeah come anytime, G and I are just chilling anyway
Alex: cheers man
George: right, thanks bud
Matt: alex, is perrie still coming with you?
Alex: she was still up for it when I called her about an hour ago so hopefully yeah. Can I just ask a few things though
Matt: ah good, and yeah
George: yeah mate
Bethany: ask away
Alex: you guys are going to be the first people she's seen since coming home that she doesn't already know except for georgie, she might be feeling a bit overwhelmed and might not be that talkative so just don't overdo it if you get me.
Matt: yeah course man
George: yeah no problem
Bethany: course
Alex: also whatever you do, don't mention her mum unless she talks about her first. Or her dad really for that matter, she's not on good terms with him.
Bethany: don't worry alex, we'll try our best to make her feel as comfortable as possible with us
Matt: yeah don't worry mate, we'll be good to her
George: yeah you don't have to worry mate
Alex: thanks guys, see you all later

About an hour later Alex and Perrie had been on the way to matts for about 10 minutes, "you've not said much today baby, how you feeling?" Alex asked all of a sudden, "I'm ok, just nervous I guess" perrie sighed, "I promise they're all nice people, and there's only going to be me, Matt, George, Bethany, Georgie and you, the others dropped out this morning" alex explained, perrie nodded "do you usually all sit together when you hang out or split up?" She asked, "bit of both, if we split up it's usually the girls go and sit and chat or something whilst me and the guys play a bit of football or something. You can stay with whoever you want though if we're not all sat together the whole afternoon" alex said, "georgies excited to see you again by the way" he added, "I'm excited to see her too, it's strange not seeing her everyday" perrie smiled, "it'll be nice won't it, I've not seen her since I left" alex said, "what about jade? Have you seen her?" Perrie asked, "nah not yet, hopefully soon though" alex smiled, "Jonnie said he'll cook us all a roast dinner tomorrow, is that good with you?" Perrie said completely changing the topic, "yeah that'd be really nice as long as it's no trouble" alex said, "no it's fine, he just wanted me to check you were alright with that" perrie smiled.

About five minutes later they pulled up outside matts house, they got out of the car and walked towards the front door linking hands as they did. As soon as alex got hold of perries hand he could feel her shaking, he stopped walking and put his hand on her shoulders turning her to face him, "you don't have to do this if you don't feel ready you know, I'm not forcing you. I can feel you shaking" he said, "I want to I'm just worried" perrie said quietly, "okay, take deep breaths yeah. You're amazing and you don't need to worry about anything, if you're not having a good time we can go early ok? As long as you keep me updated on how you're feeling everything will be fine. And if you need a breather don't be afraid to walk off somewhere, no one will mind I promise" alex said softly, "ok, I'm ready" perrie smiled a little, alex returned the smile and gave her a quick kiss before ringing the doorbell. Matt was at the door in no time at all, "hi mate" he smiled, "hi man. This is Perrie, and perrie this is Matt" alex said happily, "hi perrie, you alright?" Matt asked, "yeah I'm ok thank you, are you?" Perrie said, "I'm great, do you two want anything to drink?", "I'll have an orange juice if you've got any" alex said, "yeah I've got that, perrie?" Matt said, "can I have an orange juice too please" she smiled a little, "yeah of course, I'll bring them out to you both, the others are sat in the garden" Matt said. Alex nodded and walked through the house with perrie to the back door, as soon as they stepped outside Georgie stood up and walked over to them, she opened her arms out and embraced them both into a hug at the same time, "I've missed you both, how're you?" She smiled, "we've missed you too G, we're great, you?" Alex said, "I'm fabulous, loving the sun" she laughed, "perrie you look gorgeous! I love your top", "thank you, so do you!" Perrie smiled, "come over here and join the others you two" Georgie said.
