Chapter 2 Why

"Emily's POV "
When I woke up I looked a mess so I took a shower put on my outfit (outfit is picture at the beginning) and put on some powder then some mascara. I start walking to school and walk in. Nobody says hi like usually, but I shrugged it off.
"Emily I have to tell you something really important." Hayes tells me.
"Shoot." I giggled
"Well Haley said some bad things about you and nobody likes you anymore." Hayes says with sympathy in his voice and eyes. All I do is nod and say "Hayes you might want hangout with someone else before people hate you to." "Em I'm not leavening your side." Hayes said.
"Thanks Hayes but you don't have to." I say.
"But I want to."he says and I nod. We both see Nash and Haley and I just look down.
"What happened between you and Nash?" Hayes asked me. So I told him the whole story of what happened yesterday and I was about to burst out crying when Hayes pulled me in a hug.
"Thanks Hayes." I say thanking him.
"Your welcome." Hayes says back.
"All I want to know is why wouldn't he defended you?" Hayes asks.
" Maybe he doesn't want to be my friend anymore. Maybe he wants me gone." I say to Hayes looking down.
"Em don't be serious. Of course he wants you to be his friend. He is just trying to make his girlfriend happy." He replies.
"Oh I know, and I'm doing him a favor." I say to him.
"And what would that favor be?" He asks.
"To be out of his life." I say back to him walking away.
"Hayes POV"
"To be out of his life." She says to me walking away.
OMG! She can't walk out of his life because that would mean she'll be out of my life too. She is like my big sister I never had. I start walking down the hallway, and I see Nash and Haley talking.
"Nash we need to talk." I say to him.
"No! Don't you see I'm busy?" He asks me.
"It's important!" I say.
"Fine, Haley I will be right back." He says coming over to me.
"What do you want?" He asks harshly.
"It's about Emily." I say and see his eyes soften.
"What about Emily?" He asks me.
"Well she told me she is going to get out of your life." I tell him. He looks like he was gonna cry.
"Why?" He asks getting angry.
"Why don't you go ask your girlfriend?" I tell him then walk away.
"Nash's POV"
Hayes just told me Emily wants to get out of my life. So I ask him 'why' and he said 'go ask your girlfriend' and that is exactly what I did.
"Haley, why doesn't Emily want to be in my life anymore?" I ask my Haley.
"Oh I told everyone in school she is justing using you for fame and your money." Haley tells me.
"No, we were friends before I got famous, and she is way to good of a person to do that." I yell at her. Now we're the only ones in the hall.
"I was just saying the truth." She replies.
"I'll see you later." I say and walk away trying to keep my anger in.
[After School]
"Hey Em." I say to her.
"Oh, hey Nash, but you might want to get away from me. I don't want people to hate on you too." She says walking away. I can't believe what I heard. People hate on her for a rumor that isn't even true. I'm so mad at Haley. I'm probably going to break up with her. I get in my car and start heading for Emily's house. I get to her house and see her walking in her house.
"Wait Emily." I call after her. She stops and turns around.
"Emily, I'm so sorry." I apologize to her.
"No, I'm sorry. I just made Haley mad and she got me back." She says. This is one of the reasons she is my best friend. Even when something is not her fault she takes the blame.
"No, Emily she had no right to do that." I say to her.
"It's okay Nash I'll just stay out and stay put." She replies.
"No, Emily I want you in my life. Your my best friend." I plead her.
"Okay Nash only for you." She says with a big smile.
"Okay come to my house tomorrow. I want you to meet some of my friends." I tell her.
