The world felt completely and utterly still. The only sounds that could be heard were our feet hitting the road's pavement. As my hand interwind with Essra's, I felt peace.
"You know that feeling when it is like everything is finally coming together. Like the world and plans you created are finally coming together. You feel like you can breathe peacefully."
"Yeah, Ginika." Essra stopped walking and looked at me.
"I feel that mood when I am with you."

Ginika is tired of everything. She has completed the big goal she set to become a lawyer, working at a good job, but it feels meaningless. She feels like her life is moving nowhere. It is as if the plans she made for herself have crumbled before her eyes. It seems as if God has deserted her.
Essra is merely going through the motions. It seems to him like the season before the storm, the time before the test. His company is doing fine, but he is only existing. He feels like he is only a being.
It takes one encounter for the two's worlds to come together. For Ginikas meaning to be found and for Essra's being to be completed.
