MIA SAT ON HER STOOL applying the last bit of chapstick she had left. The girl smacked her lips and sighed looking at the time on her phone.

She had finally agreed to meet up with Dixie to talk about things and maybe become friends again.

Mia cant deny she's missed having Dixie as a best friend ,, but if does come down to it Mia will always put herself before others.

"Okay well I should get going." She whispered and stood up adjusting her shirt and pulling out small strands of her hair.

Her hand wrapped around her door handle. The keys clamped together making noise as Mia walked to her car.

She aggressively pulled open her car door open and sat down placing her phone in the cup holder.

She pushed down till ' she heard the click on her seatbelt. Her adrenaline kicked in as she stuck the keys in the ignition and started the car.

"It's okay Mia." She repeatedly told herself as she put on music.

The girl backed out and drove steady on the road.

"But don't count on me to stay." She hummed the lyrics to post malone's song.

The gravel flew as Mia parked.

She looked around and sighed before grabbing her things and getting off.

So many thoughts flooded her head. She was so near to just getting back in her car until.

"Hey mia !" A familiar voice spoke up from behind her.

Mia slowly turned around to see Dixie standing nervously.

Mia gulped and shoved down her feelings to allow herself to talk to Dixie.

"Hi dix. " She gave a faint smile and stepped down to give her a side hug.

" uh we should find a seat ." dixie laughed and pointed to the outside patio.

Mia nodded her head following Dixie.

It was filled with complete awkwardness.

Dixie bit her lip and played with her fingers hoping Mia would bring up the topic.

Instead , Mia sat down sipping her cold water and looking around the restaurant and at the tv screens that where up.

"Well um , I wanted to start off by saying I'm so sorry." Dixie looked up at the girl now catching her attention.

Mia almost choked on her water before swallowing.

"Look Dixie , saying your sorry doesn't fix the fact that you basically threw me to the side for your girlfriend. I've been here since before you came to cali ,, and she's only been with you for what maybe one month ?" Mia's hands flew from side to side as she talked.

Dixie rolled her eyes and sat up moving her cup.

"God Mia why do you have to make things harder then they already are? I'm trying to actually apologize for my wrong doings. " The girl buried her head into her hands.

Mia scoffed unfolding her arms then looking at Dixie.

"Me? Oh I make things harder? All this happened because you said I said jealous of you and darianka."

Mia was so close to getting up and leaving ,, she didn't feel the need to argue.

"Look , Mia I'm sorry I said all of that and everything I've ever done from that point on. Please Mia. " Dixies voice sounded as if she was on the verge of crying.

The girl's morals kicked in as she saw Dixies eyes filled with tears.

Mia's eyes followed Dixies, Mia realized this was childish.

Dixie wiped away the tear that travelled down her face.

" Mia ,, be honest please be honest with me have you ever had feelings for me?" Dixie straight up asked with no hesitation.

Mia's body filled up with heat and her face got red.

She looked for something to distract her her eyes traveled to waiter and she put up her hand calling the waiter.

"Hi , can I get this four cheese pasta ?" She smiled pointing at the menu.

Dixie rolled her eyes and tapped her hands on the wooden table.

Mia closed the menu and turned towards Dixie thinking if she should tell her the truth.

"Dix I've never had feelings for you we would be nothing more than friends." She blurted ,, her heart ached as the lie slipped between her lips.

Dixie sighed in relief then took a sip out of her water.

"Well ,, Mia I'm glad to hear that. I just want our normal friendship back." She stretched out her hands.

"It will take more than this to bring it back to what it once was Dixie. Understand that those words actually hurt me. I admit my wrongs. I forgive you."

Mia nodded and flipped her hair looking back at the waiter whom approached their table with the plates of food.

She scooted her drink away as the waiter carefully sat down her hot plate. Mia picked up her fork stabbing into the noodle and eating it.

Dixie looked up at mia while wiping her mouth.

"So ,, um how are you and vinnie ?" She tried starting a conversation to make it less awkward.

Mia smiled at how Dixie tried to make conversation.

"We're good ! How about you and that girl ?" Mia smirked at her petty comment.

Dixie glared at Mia , she knew Mia knows Darianka.

"Well her name is Darianka , and we are okay." She trailed off and picked at her food.

Mia raised an eyebrow as she stuffed her face with pasta.

"Just okay?" Her hand covered her mouth .

Dixie sighed " She's so controlling like when we are in front of everyone and I try and kiss her she pushes me away. Then , she'll ghost me and I hate it."

Mia choked on her food knowing that Dixie was being played.

"Dixie she doesn't really like you." Mia finished her food.

The girl looked at Mia already knowing.

"I know , but I just don't wanna believe it Mia."

"Take your time it'll get better I promise." Mia smiled before looking at the time on her phone.

"Oh I'm sorry Dixie I have to go I have to be up early." She frowned standing up and grabbing her things.

Dixie stood up along with Mia and walked her out to the car.

Mia got in as Dixie leaned against the car door closing it.

"Well , Mia I'll text you when I get home. I love you mia! " Dixe stepped back as Mia drove back.

"I love you too !" Mia waved and rolled her windows up.
