Chapter Nine

Arriving back home, the guys all gathered in the War Room. Jack was still in the cuffs, Kylo went back to his apartment, and Crowley... he does whatever he does.

"Where's Roxie?" Dean asked as he unpacks his duffle bag.

"I tucked her into bed not long ago" Cas replied.

Dean smiled, imagining his little girl sound asleep in her bed. Sam and Dean walked off to their rooms, dealing with their bags. That's leaving Cas and Jack alone. He's still unhappy about the cuffs, still tense.

Crossing his arms, Cas took a few feet forward but stopped. "You know... it broke my heart when you hurt Roxie" Cas sighed. Jack's face immediately changed, he looked worried or disappointed. He didn't mean too.

Jack took a seat in a chair, holding his face into his hands. "You know that I see you as my son but Roxie is my daughter which is why I'm allowing myself to not hurt you" Cas started to say the truth.

"But if you ever physically hurt my 'lil honeybee again... you'll have major consequences."

As the run rises for a new day, all the guys ate breakfast in the kitchen. By now, Jack was out of the angel cuffs. Roxie was already awake but didn't come out of her room yet. Having plans today, she hopes it'll go well as she wants it to be, but she's not sure if Jack will like it.

He might be her best friend – and technically cousins – but he can't chose her choices. The rest of her family... it's either going to be a 'yes' or 'no', there isn't going to be a 'maybe'.

Putting on a nice shirt and ripped jeans, Roxie walks over to the kitchen, being greeted by her family. "Someone's making an effort today unlike someone, you going somewhere?" Dean gestured to Sam before taking a sip of his coffee. Sam gave him a bitchface look.

Roxie put her hair in a ponytail, snapping on some shoes. "Yeah, I'm going out later" Cas and Dean shared a look before glancing towards the other guys. "With who and where?"

Taking a seat at the table, Roxie sighed. "I'm going to find Kylo and talk to him" Jack's facial expression quickly changed, from calm to pissed. Sam had a surprisingly look while Dean and Cas had exchanged some similar glances to one another.

"You shouldn't talk to him, he kidnapped you and led you straight to Crowley and his demons"

"I'm the one who ran from home, Jack. You can't see him as a good person because he's just an abomination to you" she eyed him.

"That's because he is one!" Jack stood up.

"No he isn't!" Roxie also stood. "I'm not quite sure why I'm talking to you after what you did to Kylo and myself"

The whole room went quiet, Jack didn't have anything else to say. He made a fist, trying to control his anger. Then, he remembered what Cas said.

He walked away. Roxie sat back down and poured herself a drink. Dean and Cas were whispering, thinking if she should hang out with the Cambion.

After a few seconds, they both look back to Roxie, nodding in agreement. "You can go but turn on your GPS and don't keep me warded out" Cas said. Roxie smiled, excited about the day. "I will, thank you father and dad" she went around the table to hug them.

"I'm heading out now, dad"

"Okay princess. I'll call you in an half an hour to check up and make sure you're safe" Dean kissed the top of her head.

"Princess? I thought my nickname was baby girl" Roxie smiled.

"I thought it sounded more fitting. Cmon, no chick flick moments. Go have fun." He pulled her into a hug.

"Okay, see you later old man" Roxie joked and vanished before seeing his reaction.

Appearing under a tree, Roxie took a seat next to Kylo. He was surprised that she came to see him. "Roxie... what are you doing here?" He asked. Leaning her back against the tree, she turned her head towards him. "I had time to think and I wanted to talk to you about yesterday"

Kylo had a puffy eye, bandages around his head, and Roxie could tell he's hurting. "Are you okay? Jack went all hell on you" she gestured to his head.

Realizing what she means, he gave a small chuckle. "I'm healing fine, you?" I saw him fling you pretty rough into the wall" he was worried and concerned. Roxie didn't say a word, she didn't want to think about it.

She's still angry at Jack, but wouldn't be forever since they're family. Roxie snapped out of her thoughts, looking back into his beautiful blue eyes. "I'm okay, trying to avoid him as much as possible" she smiled.

The next few minutes was silent, both of them watching kids mindlessly run around the park.

Roxie keeps looking over to Kylo, trying to not smile as much as she wants. Sometimes, she would get caught, but Kylo would always smile back. Roxie broke the silence.

"Kylo, uh... no demon but you would risk going to my family to save me" she sighed.

Kylo gave her his full attention, listening to every word.

"Well, I couldn't have Crowley force you to use your powers for evil" he said truthfully.

Knowing that Kylo listened to her, she almost cried. She didn't think that he would pay attention to her. Not all demons are evil unlike most. "Thank you for doing that" she wiped a tear before it fell down her face.

He moved closer, placing his hand on top of hers. Noticing the gesture, she smiled.

Slowly moving her head closer to him, a part of her wanted to back out. Kylo stared at her and slightly moving closer.

Roxie kept glancing between his eyes and his lips. Then, it happened. She softly landed her lips on his for a few seconds, it was slow and passionate.

Pulling away from him, Roxie felt satisfied with what she did. Kylo was stunned, glancing up to her eyes. Roxie shyly smiled as Kylo tried to give a soft smirk for a second before having a somewhat confusing expression.

"What was that for?" He quietly spoke.

"An apology"
