"What the hell happened?" I asked, breathless as I entered the trainer's room. Roderick and Kyle were standing against the wall with their arms crossed. Bobby sat on the table with his leg wrapped and an ice pack on top. The trainer had just walked out.

"I hurt my knee," Bobby said flatly.

"Obviously." I resisted the urge to roll my eyes. "Are you okay?"

He nodded and struggled to adjust on the table. He flinched from the pain it caused.

"He's not cleared to wrestle." Kyle's voice filled the room.

My eyes snapped to him. His expression was solemn as he looked from Bobby to me.

"You really got hurt?" I asked, stepping closer to Bobby.

Bobby nodded, "Yeah, we actually filmed the attack so I actually got hit. My knee bounced off the floor then he kicked me in the back of the knee which didn't help."

"He's got to go to the hospital for an X-ray." Roderick said.

Bobby turned slightly to look at him with his eyes narrowed. He shook his head slightly as if telling Roderick to shut up.

"But we," Kyle motioned between him and Strong, "have to go. Roddy's gotta get a concussion."

"Hopefully not for real," Rodderick added quickly.

Before anyone could say anything else the door opened and the trainer walked back. He focused on Bobby, but we all perked up as if we were ready to receive life or death news.

"We are ready to transport you to the hospital." The trainer nodded as he removed the ice pack from Bobby's knee. Then glanced over to the guys. "Are you both coming too?"

Kyle shook his head and sighed. "No, we have one more thing to do. But we will come once we are released for the night."

"Alright, hopefully, it will be an easy X-ray. But I'm thinking you will end up getting an MRI."

Bobby groaned. The trainer looked at him apologetically.

"Can I come?" I asked.

Bobby's eyes snapped to me, an incredulous look on his face. Kyle coughed, but I'm pretty sure he was hiding a snort. The trainer looked between Bobby and me, unsure of what to say.

"Aren't you working?" Bobby asked.

I heard Kyle and Roderick both sigh. I ignored them.

"No, I just had to film a promo earlier. I can leave whenever." I said. Then added in a whisper, "But if you don't want me too..."

"No, please, come." Bobby's words came out in a rush. "It's always good to have someone."

"Okay then, let's get going." The trainer said.

At the hospital

I scrolled through my phone as I waited for Bobby to get back to the room. He was getting X Rays of his knee taken. The ride to the hospital had been short and painless, if awkward. I hadn't spoken to Bobby since last week. Since we were drunk. Since he told me that he has feelings for me...let me tell him that I feel the same way. Then took it all away just as quickly.

A wave of pain seared through my stomach as the memory pushed its way back into my mind. The way that Bobby's voice took on a pleading tone as he asked me to not get mad. The way fingers against my cheek sent electricity through me. The way his forehead had rested against mine, our lips just an inch away from each other. The way his eyes had glistened when we told me that we were too complicated to be together.
