Atsumu's side-swept hair was described as blonde by Sunabut looking at it now, Sakusa thought Osamu's term (dehydrated) yellow piss suited him better. If not, gross mustard.
"I'm gonna go to the bathroom, okay?" Komori moved away slowly so he could make sure Atsumu could stand on his own until he returns. "You two don't hook up while I'm gone!"
"As if─"
But it was too late and Komori bolted off, the smug grin on his face not faltering at all. Sakusa cursed his cousin a dozen times in his mind.
"You look cuter in real life."
Yeah, Sakusa was glad he expected his flirty nature. Who knows if he started blushing.
Is he? No... He doesn't feel heat around his neck or ears. Good.
Wait, I'm supposed to say something─
"Still a fuckboy even outside of the screen, huh?" Atsumu gasped at him. With his face scrunched, he feigned fake offense over his words.
"Hey! Can I not just compliment someone?!" He whined before he ran a hand through his hair. "At least be nicer with your words, Omi!"
"You were so horny when we met─" Atsumu's face immediately reddened.
"I was not─!"
"─and you've never let go of my typo of disgusting, this is simply revenge," Sakusa replied, folding his arms together.
Atsumu mumbled something to himself, but Sakusa didn't notice as he instead paid attention to Suna, who he could see in the corner of his eye.
Rintarou was talking to someone that looked like a clone of Atsumu: same height, same shape, same face, same clothes. The only difference that stood out was that he had grey hair and it was styled to look like a mirrored version of Atsumu's. He was less expressive too, his face looked like he was permanently bored.
Bokuto and Akaashi already took note of Atsumu and Osamu's presence, but they seemed to hold back and just stayed in their seats, still making small talk. Bokuto seemed to have trouble though, his shoe was tapping against the floor while he bounced in his seat.
When Atsumu suddenly laughed, Sakusa diverted his attention back to him, eyebrows raised in question. Atsumu immediately noticed his expression and chuckled, waving a hand around as if he was reassuring it wasn't anything bad.
"Just never took you the type to hold grudges or recall stuff like that," Atsumu commented, a shy smile on his face. "I was kinda hoping you forgot about my first few messages, haha. It's a bit embarrassing."
He then scanned Sakusa head to toe, eventually taking note of the kid from earlier, who somewhat still remained by Sakusa's side. Though he (sort of) hid behind Sakusa, the positive aura he had before replaced by something akin to shyness and caution.
For some odd reason. They're still strangers, aren't they?
"Oh? Hey there." Atsumu waved at him.
The kid only pouted before he jumped out of his hiding spot and pointed his finger at Sakusa again. "Mister is such a meanie!"
"Shut up." Sakusa felt tired from just listening to the child talk, since he acted like a light switch. He was never a fan of people like those.
"Yeah. He is, isn't he?" Atsumu's grin looked more teasing as he looked at Sakusa with a mocking, unimpressed face. "Man, you're gonna be a horrible father."
Sakusa blinked, his mind drawing to a blank as he processed those words. Meanwhile, the kid seemed amused at Atsumu's words, his eyes sparkling with curiosity.
"What? You two are dating?!" His eyes flickered back and forth to Sakusa and Atsumu. "Man, I didn't think Mr. Mean would even have friends with that attitude!"
"What? Who said I was gonna be the mother, you bottom?"
Sakusa regretted those words as soon as they left his mouth. But then it was Atsumu's turn to short-circuit, along with the child's smile only growing bigger.
If that wasn't enough, Komori came back at that moment. He had overheard and seemingly choked on his saliva or the air (what an idiot), his eyes growing as large as saucers in a second. "S-Sakusa─ did I hear you right?"
If God was real, He sure was being so mean to Sakusa today.
Sakusa only made a disgruntled noise before turning away, staring at anything but their faces. Komori continued to laugh when Atsumu snapped back to reality, his face tinted with a faint shade of red.
"I said father! Not mother! That last part was uncalled for too!"
"Well, at least you two are getting along." Komori nodded to himself before patting Sakusa's shoulder. "Mind carrying Atsumu back to my place? Osamu doesn't want to."
"Ask Bokuto."
"If he declines, you do it, okay?" Komori snickered as he waved Bokuto over.
Bokuto skipped over to them, with Akaashi following behind him like they weren't allowed to separate themselves from the other. It was something Sakusa noticed the two doing for a while now, and he wasn't sure whether to reprimand them for not following the social distancing rule or it was simply just clinginess.
To his luck (seriously, bless him), Bokuto agreed on helping Atsumu ─ though he might have gone overboard because, instead of just acting a support for Atsumu to lean on, he decided to fully ruin the blonde's dignity and just carry him bridal style. His face looked determined, as if the mere task of helping Atsumu was a mission for an assassin.
"Your dedication is so inspiring, Kou."
"You look stupid," Osamu chimed in when he and Suna re-joined the small group. He didn't say who it was directed at but Sakusa was sure it applied to both of them.
"I didn't ask to be carried!" Atsumu retorted.
The twins bickered back and forth for a few moments before Suna asked if they can leave now, complaining about the smell of bleach and that he felt like his eyes are gonna start bleeding.
