Post-Pool Day Relaxation

Them accidentally (or purposefully) dozing off in a hammock together as the sun sets and the air cools down.

It was a nice summer day and everyone went to the pool for the day. They came back home refreshed from the beating sun. Janice and Floyd were in the living room, watching TV with Animal on the ground. Lips had retreated to his room not long ago and Zoot had a call from a family member. Dr. Teeth is in his room, laying in his hammock and staring at the ceiling. It took up one corner of the room, with the rest filled with music, a keyboard, and his bed. A window was opened nearby to cool down the warm room.

"Hey, uh, Teeth? Can I join ya?" Zoot asks from his doorway. Dr. Teeth looks up and motions for him to come in. The saxophone player walks in and climbs in the hammock, resting his head on his partner's chest. He leans up to peck his lips before snuggling against him.

"Did you have a nice time at the pool?"

"If Animal and Floyd didn't dunk me so much, then maybe". Floyd and Animal had joined together to see how many times they could dunk Zoot at the pool. It was easy too because he was asleep on a floaty every time. Lips eventually convinced them to stop only for him to be dunked as well.

"At least it cooled us down, right?"

"Yeah, that's an upside".

"Who was calling you?"

"My sister, Margret. She... she got a raise..."

"I bet she was excited". Dr. Teeth looks down to find Zoot sleeping soundly. He could feel his eyes growing heavy too and lays his head back. Outside, the sun began to set and a cold breeze rushes inside. Zoot stirs just a little bit but doesn't wake up.

"Well, a nap sounds good too," he comments, closing his eyes. Unconsciously, Zoot pulls Dr. Teeth's arms around himself.
