Draco was heartbroken and devastated. It broke Harry to see him like this but still a part of him was ecstatic. He finally could have Draco and without breaking his best friend's heart.
For the rest of the weekend Draco never left his room. He never went to dinner and didn't even step out into the common room. Pansy was getting increasingly worried, she really hoped he would atleast go to lessons after the weekend.
He forgave Pansy and Hermione and congratulated them in getting together. He knew he couldn't make Hermione happy anyways. It was not her fault she felt different.
Weekends passed torturously slowly for Draco and as much as he would want to stay and mope around the boy's dorm, he still should get to class.
He was heading for charms class when he heard him
"still sad about your girlfriend, Malfoy?" Harry spoke, spitting out every word like it was poison.
"Shove off Potter" Draco sneered at him "how would you feel if the weaselette cheated on you?"
"Relax Malfoy I get it you are sad, this situation is sad" Harry said in a calmer tone "and Ginny isn't my girlfriend. She is dating Luna Lovegood,"
Draco frowned at the raven-haired boy "Well how does that concern me?" He bit
"It doesn't, I just wanted to make that clear,"
"If thats all you wanted to tell me; I'll be on my way to charms, thank you very much" he gave him a glare
"Wait!" Harry looked down at the floor then back up at Draco "If you want to talk about it, I will listen"
Draco seemed to soften "Thanks Potter," he muttered before walking away. Harry's heart fluttered. How could someone be so perfect? He thought.
Harry and Draco hung out a lot since they were the only singles in their friend groups. They studied together, went to Hogsmeade, joked, laughed. They acted as if they were best friends since forever.
"Hey Harry, I wanted to ask you something," Harry turned to Draco, they were hanging out in the courtyard
"Sure, ask on"
"Are you" he paused "gay?"
Harry looked at him. Why was he asking this? "Yeah I am" Harry replied "Why are you asking?"
"No reason"
