draco grabbed my arm harshly, pulling me down the hallway and shoving me into a broom cupboard. the door slammed and he crossed his arms. i jerked my hand back and rubbed at the place where he had grabbed me from, where a bruise was forming.

"what?" i spat, pulling my skirt down as draco's eyes hardened. "what do you think?" he snarled, pushing me against the wall. "hanging out with the gryffindors? you know better than that, kat."

"they're my friends," i whined, and draco slammed his hand against the wall next to my head, making me jump. "they're not your friends, kat. they're using you." his voice was fierce, and i shivered under his mean gaze, shaking my head.

"no they're not! they're nice to me. i like being around them. you can't make me choose between you. i don't understand why you hate harry so much, anyway. he's a good person."

draco scoffed, but removed his hand. "whatever, kat." his eyes weren't hard anymore, but they looked sad. i gazed into them, reaching my hand up and touching his face gingerly. "what's wrong, draco? why is it such a big deal?"

he sighed, lifting his hand and pressing it against my hand, which was still touching his cheek. "i dunno, katherine. it's like..." he puffed out a sigh, and my eyes widened as draco let his cold demeanor go.

"he has everything. hes the chosen one, and he has friends who would do anything for him, and everyone loves him, and... i have nothing. nothing except for you. what i'm saying is... he can't have you. that's the one thing he can't have." his eyes poured into mine, and i swore i could see the beginning of tears in his eyes.

i leaned forward, slightly surprised by the sudden sloppiness of his words. he'd never opened up to me before. i pressed my lips against his, and he melted into me, making my heart flutter.

when we let go, i tilted his head down, looking deep into his eyes. "listen to me, draco. i'm yours. i've been yours for a long time, even if we didn't know it. i'm gonna be your girlfriend one day, you know that?" i smiled as draco sighed. "not if i have to marry pansy."

i frowned. "don't talk like that. you don't need to worry about that stuff yet. and for the record, it's not like that with harry." i frowned softly. "but i don't think it's fair to not let me be his friend."

he bit his lip, and let out a huff. "you're right. but i'm not gonna be nice to him for you. just... just don't get to close to him, okay? i wouldn't be surprised if he made him fall for you too."

i laughed, and draco pressed his lips back against mine, harsher this time, cupping my cheeks in his hands. "he won't," i breathed, and draco smirked.

"let's hope not." he lowered his hand, letting it rest against my throat, fingers flexing. though he didn't put any pressure, shivers still floated down my spine as i gazed up at him, knowing the control he had over me. he smirked at me.

"c'mon." he released me from his grip and kicked open the door to the broom cupboard, and i gasped as i spotted the weasley twins standing right outside the door.

they both gaped back at us, and draco sneered. "what are you two looking at?"

i stared into the twin's eyes, as they exchanged a mischievous smirk. "hey, kat." fred hummed, and george grinned as he spoke, "mind if we bother you for a second?"

draco exchanged a look between the two of us warily, and i gave him a look that said it's okay. he squeezed my arm softly in a farewell and slipped away, leaving me with the twins. they grinned at me broadly, each entwining an arm with mine on either side of me, beginning to march me down the hallway.

"so, kitty."

"ugh, jesus." i groaned. "do not call me that."

fred and george exchanged a smirk, and george added, "i think we will. anyways- care to explain-,"

"just why-"

"we just caught you in a broom closet with the mysterious draco malfoy?"

i simply stared at the twins, embarrassment painted all over my face. "i don't know what you expect me to say, but please don't tell harry and ron."

they exchanged another gleeful look. "okay, kitty. we won't tell your secret," fred began, and george finished for him. "if, and only if, you do us a favor in return for our secrecy."

i rolled my eyes, puffing out a sigh of annoyance. "oh god. what do you two want?" there was a quick silence, in which they pulled me to the side of the hallway to ensure we were away from any wandering ears that could be listening in on us.

"how exactly do you get inside the hufflepuff common room?" george asked, and my mouth almost fell open in shock as i crossed my arms hurriedly. "no way. i'm not giving you access to my house! do you know how much trouble i could get in for that? i'm not a fan of you two pranking me while i'm asleep."

both twins were grinning broadly, and fred sighed. "don't worry, kitty. we won't be pranking you. what we need is none of your concern. just give us the password." george raised an eyebrow, tapping his watch. "time's ticking."

i glanced back in forth between them, biting my lip. before i could decide, fred cupped his hands around his mouth and yelled, "oi! ginny! guess wha-,"

i smacked my hand promptly across his mouth, my cheeks bright red. "fine! the barrel two from the bottom, middle of the second row next to the kitchens. tap it to the exact tune of helga hufflepuff."

both twins promptly chimed, "thanks for your buisness!" and disappeared down the hallway before i could even blink, leaving me gritting my teeth.

and that is how the weasley twins blackmailed me.
