FERNANDO'S POV
When Nick showed up in front of our house in an intoxicated state, my dad decided to take over for him so that the students could get to school safely. Thankfully, we only had one house left before dropping the students off at school and the last stop was the McKenzie household.
"Fernando, how's Genevieve doing with a brother mysteriously popping up?" My dad asked me.
"She's nervous about meeting her brother, considering that we found out last night that he was coming to town today. She was more upset at the fact that Marcus took a long time to tell her." I answered.
Genevieve and I went to Marcus' house to tell us the news that he had a kid. Genevieve was, of course, happy that she had a sibling, but was upset with her father because he told her last minute. After a few minutes of talking about what we think Marcus' son is going to be like, we arrived at the McKenzie household. Kurt joked about my dad having a job, dad went along with the joke and then explained that he was filling in for Nick.
"Happy anniversary, Deanne" My dad and I say at the same time as Kurt got on the bus after his older kids got in.
"They remembered," Kurt said as he sat down next to me.
"She forgot?" My dad asked, quietly.
"Yeah," Kurt answered.
Kurt told Deanne that he was going to get a lift to work with us and we took off. Kurt, then, explains how he was going to take advantage of this, while my dad and I began to laugh. During the conversation, I fell asleep. Soon enough, we arrived at the school. I got off with my dad and Kurt and I saw the principal walking towards us.
"Mr. Feder, I thought that you and your wife took some time off," My boss told me when he got to us.
"Last time we checked we are," I said before walking away and going inside the bus.
