FERNANDO'S POV:

When Genevieve and I arrive at my parents' house, a crowd was already gathering.

"Hey, Nando" Penny greeted me.

"What can I do for you, Penny?" I asked the woman in front of me.

"Can you tell your father to meet me here?" She asked me.

"You're asking the son of the married man that you can't let go to meet you here?" Genevieve asked her.

"Well, he's going to choose me over his mother." Penny answered.

"The both of you dated in middle school." Genevieve tells Penny.

"And the both of you are married." I added on.

"That's not going to change anything!" Penny yelled, waking up my son.

"Let's go, don't need to be with her." I tell Genevieve, quietly.

We walked inside my parents' house and we see my parents greeting guests at the door.

"Genevieve, you can go to my room." My mom tells Genevieve, noticing our son crying.

The both of them went upstairs.

"Just letting you know, Penny is waiting for you." I told my dad as I approached him.

"What's wrong with that woman?" He said angrily.

"This might help you remember. The both of you dated in middle school, in the 6th grade to be more specific." I tell him.

"That makes sense." He tells me.

"What happened to Keithie?" I asked my father when I noticed that he has crutches.

"Long story. There's something I need to tell you and your siblings don't know." My dad tells me.

"What's up?" I asked.

"You mother is pregnant." My dad tells me, which shocks me.

"Wow, didn't think you guys want more kids." I say, in shock.

"I'm just trying to wrap my head around it." My dad tells me.

"Dad, your youngest child and my son are going to be around the same age." I say, in realization.

"Well, that's even better." My dad days, sarcastically.

I started laughing because of the situation.

——————————-

The party was going great and the crowd got bigger. My wife and I sitting down in some chairs at corner that was the most excluded that we can find at this party. It was kind of weird seeing some of the students during the party, but there was nothing we can do now. Genevieve and I were having a conversation, until we hear yelling. We looked around to see where it was coming from and we see a massive crowd surrounding my dad and a guy.

"Who's that guy your dad is going to fight?" Genevieve asked me.

"I don't know, but I know it's not going to end well." I answered.

Genevieve and I stayed behind due to us having our son, but the fight didn't happen.

The adrenaline from that fight didn't even die down, when a bunch of frat guys turned up.

"Babe, I think those are the guys that punked our dad today." Genevieve tells me, as we both stood up from our seats.

"Go inside and be with the kids, I feel like something is going to happen right now and they don't need to see it." I tell my wife and she nodded, before she went inside the house.

By the time I reached the crowd, a huge fight broke out. The fighting lasted for a couple of minutes, then they all took off. Little by little, the guests took off.

"Braden, you can stay for the night at our house if you want." Genevieve suggested to her brother.

"Sure, I don't mind." Braden said, before we all took off.

Well, that's one way to start the summer.
