~HAZEL~
Hazel left the room, lingering out in the hallway for a moment to make sure Percy wasn't going to try and sneak out without her notice.
It wasn't like she wanted to make him feel like he was in a prison cell, but she was doing this for his own safety. Hazel walked out into the lounge and stood in the doorway for a moment, the was a black three seater couch on the same wall as the doorway, a window on the opposite wall. In the middle of the room was a large, circular wooden table, in which five people were seated at.
"You guys still haven't moved?" Hazel sighed, sitting down on a spare seat.
"Nope." Someone replied from across the table, Hazel tried to contain her smile but failed miserably, but when she saw Frank return her smile she had no regrets.
Hazel looked around at table at each individual, there was Hazel herself in one seat, to her left was Reyna, then Annabeth, Leo, Frank and Jason. A weird bunch of people, but Hazel hadn't been the one to chose, the one and only Leo had.
"So who's this Percy guy?" A girl with long blonde hair asked as she dealt out the deck. Dijecting Hazel from her thoughts. When she looked up Annabeth was giving every player seven cards before putting the rest of the deck in the middle, face down.
"New born." Leo replied for her, he inspected his cards and put them in fine order.
"You guys better be nice to him." Hazel said sternly, checking her own cards before they started the game.
The blonde, Annabeth, pushed a lock of hair out of her face and glanced at Hazel warily, shrugged, and nodded, then picked one card off the top of the deck in the middle, flipped it over and placed it next to the deck. It was a eight of hearts.
"Jason, you first." Annabeth said, "you won the last game."
"It's only fair." A blond guy smirked, whom was sitting next to Hazel. He placed an eight of clubs on top, Hazel scowled at the change. Jason looked at Hazel, "Not your choice of cards?"
"No." She replied, putting a five of clubs down.
"This is why I hate this game." Reyna sighed, picking up five cards off the deck. Leo laughed at the dark haired girl, placing his own card on top of Hazel's, two of clubs.
The six of them contiued to play the game, rotating around the circle, from Jason to Hazel, to Reyna, Annabeth, Leo and finally Frank, whom was also new to the Vampire coven. Hazel didn't know much about him, but she was vaguely interested to find out.
Evening grew to night and still they played, so far Reyna had lost two games in a row and Hazel had lost one. Jason still in the winning streak. Annabeth peered out of a curtain behind her, smiling at the pitch black sky.
Hazel tried to ignore her rumbling stomach, they couldn't go anywhere and leave Percy behind, and Hazel wasn't prepared to face him herself.
"What you guys playing?" A voice asked from the doorway. Hazel spun around to see Percy standing at the doorway, his ink black hair in a tangled mess.
"Last card." Jason replied. Not looking up from his cards.
"Percy this is Jason." Hazel sighed, "Reyna, Annabeth, Frank and you've already met Leo." She pointed to each person, Percy was nodding slowly, tryingto take everything in.
Percy made a weak smile and a half heart-ed wave at the group, which was ignored. Hazel slightly wondered what was making him so sad, it was probably cause he was locked away in this old house, but she pushed away the thought.
"Who's hungry?" Hazel said suddenly, wanting to break the tension, she stood up and pushed her chair away.
Annabeth stood up excitedly, pulling Leo up with her.
"What?" Percy asked, "what are we going to eat?"
"You'll see." Annabeth chuckled, giving Percy a very disecret wink before strolling out the door, Hazel shook her head and followed.
"But I thought you guys wouldn't be in sun-" Percy started, once Hazel was outside, she turned around to look at Percy, whom was stuck for words.
"It gets dark here pretty quickly." Jason said, patting Percy on the back, "comes in handy for us you know." Percy nodded sollemly as Jason started an in depth conversation with Percy about darkness, the poor guy was half bored to death, but Hazel was in no mood to help him as she had her own problems.
As they started walking thurther into the woods, Frank slowly made his way through the small group of Vampires towards Hazel, whom was totally oblivious to the situation, until he'd suddenly appeared at her side.
She was part way into humming Just A Little Girl by Trading Yesterday when a dreamy voice inturrupted her thoughts, she looked to her side, but all she could see was bushes.
"Umm, this side." Frank chuckled, Hazel chuckled along with him, causing his face to turn a bright red, but Hazel ignored it, saving him the embarrassment.
"Oh sorry." Hazel murmered, trying to hide her own embarrassment.
"You don't have to be sorry." Frank chuckled again, causing Hazel to smile, "you didn't do anything wrong."
After a few minutes of awkward silence Annabeth called a halt, when Hazel turned to look, Annabeth was peering through a couple of bushes, whispering to Percy the basics. Hazel turned to Frank, he didn't look so confused, not like the first time they'd gone hunting, he'd definitely improved.
Hazel saw the group go separate ways, each looking for their own meal, Frank and Hazel decided to follow a deer that had gone astray from it's mother. She saw it stop for a drink at a small creek, Hazel glanced at Frank, he nodded. A mutual agreement passed over the two.
Almost in silence Frank and Hazel moved as one towards the deer. Out of the corner of her eye, Frank counted to three on his fingers. One. Two. Three. They leaped at the deer, fangs bared when all of a sudden the deer sprinted off before they could sink their fangs into its flesh.
A panicked Annabeth started to flail her arms in front of Hazel vision, whom swatted the blonde train wreck away and asked what was wrong.
"Its...P... Percy." Annabeth stuttered, her mind seemed to be in a state of shock. "He's gone."
