The following weeks were pretty uneventful for Jeongguk. He was usually accompanied by at least one of the king's husbands and grew close to everyone pretty quickly.
Since he had finished making his own clothes in the matter of two weeks, he also made some for the others to thank them for letting him stay with them and being so kind to him all the time. He just didn't get it. How could everything he has ever been taught about this century have been so cruel?
Not that he could change anyone's mind on the matter once he was back in his own time. No one would believe him. It was all too absurd.
And while he was busy making the clothes and spending time with Euphoria, he couldn't help but notice the six men miserably giving up on their search for their seventh partner. It seemed very unfair to him. And why did he have to distract them and hold them back from their search. That really hadn't been necessary.
Jeongguk shook his head and pushed his train of thought away, turning around from Euphoria to look at Soobin, who was calling for him.
"Jeongguk-hyung!"
Jeongguk petted Euphoria and they bowed down to each other, making him laugh quietly. Then he began walking towards Soobin, smiling widely. "Good morning, Soobin-ah!"
Soobin bowed his head in respect as Gguk reached him, making the older shake his head in amusement. No matter how many times he told them to stop treating him like a prince, they just wouldn't stop.
"Good morning, hyung. A guard told me the king and his husbands are asking for you." Gguk nodded and once again wished that phones existed already. This was just tiring for Soobin and unnecessary.
"Thanks for telling me. I better head inside then. Oh and would you and your friends join me for dinner? I believe the king and his husbands are leaving in a few hours."
The boy smiled brightly and nodded before running off, Gguk watching him with a soft smile. He glanced back at Euphoria with pursed lips and quickly jogged to the castle.
He found the six men standing at the top of the stairs in front of the castle, waving him over.
"Jeongguk-ah! Shouldn't you be wearing a coat over that um-", Jimin started and Gguk chuckled.
"Hoodie."
"Right. Aren't you cold?" He shook his head and only then noticed the snow falling around him. He gaped.
"Oh, hyungs! It's snowing! Isn't it pretty?"
Hoseok shook his head with a chuckle. "It's been snowing for a while now. Had something on your mind?"
Gguk bit his lip but smiled brightly to cover it up. "Not really, no. Just missing home."
His hyungs nodded with sad smiles. Namjoon then cleared his throat. "Well, we wanted to tell you we'll be leaving early. Now, in fact. And we'll bring back presents for you in three days when we come back, just in time for Holy Night!"
Gguk narrowed his eyes in confusion. "What month is it?"
"December?", Yoongi answered with a raised eyebrow and jumped when the boy yelped.
"You guys mean Christmas! It's in three days?! Why didn't you say anything sooner?!" Before any of the confused men could say anything, Jeongguk hugged them all and headed for the entrance of the castle.
"Have fun on your trip- uh business meeting- whatever!" With that the doors closed and he left the men in silence.
"Well that went well.", Taehyung snorted and nudged them to begin walking, Namjoon nearly slipping because of the frozen path.
