10 months before the entrance exams.

Today there was a villain attack where a hero called Mt.Lady made her debut, I saw Midoryia on the way to school and waved at him, he blushed and hid his face, I swear that he is the cutest person I've seen in this school, why would Bakugou hate him?

"You guys need to start thinking about your future" the old guy said "but" he threw the papers to the air "who am I kidding I know you all want to be heroes" everyone in the classroom started to use their quirks while cheering, everyone except Bakugou, Midoryia and I.

"Hey teach! Don't pile me up with these extras" Bakugou spoke "they will be lucky if they end up as sidekicks in a busted-" I tunes out the rest of his speech and then heard "oh right Chisaki and Midoryia are aiming for UA high too" the teacher said.

I felt eyes on me and some people said that it was obvious but then there was Midoryia.

"Deku" Bakugou spoke and the green haired male visibly flinched. I heard a crash and turned around to see Midoryia cornered and shivering. "W-well it w-was my d-dream since I was little."

The conversation went on and ended up in Midoryia almost pissing himself and Bakugou angrier than usual.

"Cmon Bakugou leave the kid alone" I said and stood up. Some kids flinched and others were surprised. I walk towards Midoryia's now broken desk and stepped on it, using my quirk I fixed it and left it at the original place it was.

Bakugou somehow calmed down and I went towards Midoryia offering him a hand. "You are trying to be heroes when you can't be nice to someone? Tch lame" the boy blushed and took my hand and I helped him up. "Don't worry, they're just jealous that you are smarter than them" I said to him and went to my desk.

After a few seconds Bakugou sat at his desk. Eventually lunch came by and I went to the rooftop as usual. I started to eat my lunch and Bakugou came to view.

"Why did you help him?" He scowled "why are you mean to him?" I replied. "He is a nerd and he is going to die in the entrance exams" he started to eat his bento and I just continued eating. "Why are you no longer friends? You guys were close as kids, you told me about the bridge, but why?" I finally said and he flinched "do you not want him to die as a hero? Do you not want him to get hurt?" I asked and he just scoffed.

"It's nothing like that, nerd wants to do this as a game, he's not seeing reality" he said and shoved his food into his mouth. We just talked for the rest of lunch and the day went fairly normal.

After school I got a call from Ei. "Hey! What's up?" "Hey! Do you want to go to the arcade that opened? I saw that it was near your school! Plus there is a Hot Topic next door!" He said and sounded a bit down so I agreed to meet him in front of a cafe.

I told Bakugou I was busy for the rest of the day and felt his stare when I walked away, I passed Midoryia and noticed hi was down so I ruffled his hair and continued walking like nothing happened.

I met with Ei and we both started to go to the arcade.

"So what's bothering you?" I asked and he flinched then sighed. He told me that there was an incident where he could of helped his classmates but stood frozen in fear, in the end another classmate helped and they were safe. "But... I... I could of helped them! I was scared! I.... I could of make you proud and I instead failed... I could of proved to everyone I was not a scaredy cat." (Baby no)

I put my hand on his shoulder "Ei, you are one of the most brave people I know! You don't need one event to decide your future! You just need to prove them wrong! Plus you need to fill your part of the deal!" I smiled and heard a sob.

I looked at Ei and he was crying "thanks, I needed that" he then smiled brightly which caused me to blush. Little did I know that a green hair kid was behind us listening to our conversation.

An explosion was heard in the distance, like the one from 2 minutes ago.

"Looks like the heroes haven't caught the villain, wanna see?" Ei asked and I just nodded. There was rubble in the alleyway, explosions happening everywhere "look the villain has a kid!" One of the adults said. We both fought our way to the front and saw a slime villain holding someone.

Not only someone but "Bakugou?" I said and trembled, you stared at the scene in front of you and saw his eyes, they were pleading for help, they were scared.

3rd person POV

You felt someone run towards the scene, "Wait! Kid!" People screamed at him to come back but he was already out of reach.

You felt Ei hold your hand and you looked at him, you saw something in his eyes, determination, you both nodded your heads and runned towards the green hair.

People screamed at the both of you to stop, Midoryia threw his backpack towards the villain, you and Kiri almost at his side, the kid started grabbing the slime to try to pry it off of Bakugou.

Both of them screamed but you didn't pay attention to it, you payed attention to the slime that was about to hit Midoryia. You broke your gloves and touched it, making the area price apart, kirishima grabbed Bakugou and Midoryia and pulled them to safety.

The slime was about to hit him but he used his quirk, the rush of adrenaline made his quirk stronger than before , he barely moved back an inch, you took the opportunity and touched the villain, making it pieces.

You took deep breaths and turned around to see kirishima, he was also breathing heavily, but you saw a glint in his face, he was satisfied with himself.

Eventually the police picked up the pieces of the slime villain, Bakugou, kiri and you got praised while Midoryia got scolded. "Excuse me?" You said to the heroes scolding Midoryia. "I actually think Midoryia needs to get recognition, he actually made me and my friend help, plus he used a smart move" the heroes stayed silent and walked away. Midoryia thanked you but you only said it was true.

News reporters were arriving so you and Kiri decided to sneak away in a tunnel you made.
