Keeping Secrets

Steelfrost had finally been back for a few weeks now and at first she felt uneasy at the base, and everyone seemed to notice it but made her feel welcomed. She didn't speak about anything that happened on the ship, not wanting anyone to know that Megatron had been using her as his personal slave. Her spark had been aching these past few days though, and she asked Ratchet if they could have heart attacks or in this case Spark attacks he assured her it wasn't possible and reminded her off the spark bond. She thought it was stupid they she couldn't be away from Megatron without being in pain, she did her best to smile through it but the team could see she was in pain. Optimus even pulled her aside and explained that if she needed to go back he understood. Now it seemed like she might actually have to go, that didn't mean she was going to stay with him just needed to pop in say hi and leave. 

"I'm going for a drive, I'll report back to base in a little bit" She waited till Optimus nodded in approval before transforming and leaving the base.

She waited till she was about an hour away from the base to contact Megatron. She didn't want the others to know she really sneaked away to meet up with him. That was the plan at least, who knows how he would react when he was around her. Probably try to force her back onto the ship but Optimus had started back to their training, and she was getting better. 

*I'm here*

That's all she said. She briefly wondered if he too was feeling the affects she was. She transformed and waited for him. Wondering if he would respond back or just show up. It didn't take long before she heard him, as she looked to the sky she finally spotted him. He flew down transforming probably forty feet from the ground as he landed she watched him standing tall. Fucking show off. She half way expected him to grab her or something but he just stood there, not even smirking at her! He just looked well concerned. 

"What's wrong?" Her spark ached to touch him but she ignored it. 

"Unicron"

The name made her chest tighten and breathing became slightly difficult, she opened her mouth but couldn't speak.

"It seems that he wasn't fully put to rest, as we believed." he paused to see if she would speak , when she didn't he gestured her to follow.

A bridge opened up and she stood there as he turned to walk towards it. When he realized she wasn't following him he looked back. They stared at each other for a moment longer before he rolled his optics. 

"I give you my word, I will allow you to leave once I have shown you what we were able to uncover" 

She didn't believe him but she had escaped successfully once and she could do it again. She walked towards him and as he looked down at her, she knew he wanted her to go in first. She did. He followed behind her. Once on board the bridge closed behind them and he walked her to a large screen with a volcano. Smoke was rising from it.  

"I don't understand. What does this have to with Unicron."

"When Unicron was defeated, the volcano went dead. But these past few earth days it has been active. With the dark energon both inside our veins we are the only ones who can communicate with him. But this must remain between me and you, this cannot go to your Autobot friends" He looked down at her.

Steelfrost stared at the screen, why couldn't she tell the Autobots? They helped defeat him last time but at a cost. She remembered when Unicron grabbed her by the chin forcing her to look at him. His cold glare was even more intimidating than Megatron's. She could see him looking at her, and when she looked back she realized he could sense her fear. Stupid spark bond. 

"I wont let him hurt you Steelfrost. I promise. We're spark bonded." He actually sounded believable.

She couldn't find the words to reply to him, she reached out for his arm touching him softly. Her spark swelled with relief and comfort even if her mind hated the thought of touching him. When she pulled away from him her spark instantly felt empty. She hated this, she hated being around him but her spark craved him. Not the pain or hate but just him. 

"What do we do?" she asked .

"We will need to go to the volcano and speak with Unicron." 

She looked at him like he was insane; well he was but still he sounded more insane than before. Steelfrost couldn't understand why in the hell he wanted to speak with him. Because of Unicron, Optimus lost his memories and Megatron took advantage of him. 

"Please explain to me why on the earth would we go speak to Unicron?" She rubbed her optics not looking at him. 

"Unicron shouldn't be able to rise up again. However he's been calling to me and I need to find out why." 

"So why do I have to go with you? He hasn't been communicating with me. I don't see how I could be any use to you" 

He looked back to the screen "Because he is requesting I bring you to him" 

She stood there shocked, he was just going to do what he said because why? He was out of his mind if she was going to just go willingly. He seemed to realize she was about to tell him to stick it where the sun don't shine so he spoke up before she did. 

"I can assure you he can not harm you. He is not strong enough"

She actually wanted to believe that but she couldn't. Just as Megatron had promised he opened a bridge for her. As she started to walk out she cursed at herself as she glanced back to him. He watched her closely. 

"I will only give you my word once Frosty. Next time I will not let you leave and I will drag you back to my quarters kicking and screaming if I have to."
