A year has passed; Krystal and Amber became close friends with Luna and Sulli after Sulli wanted to sit next to Amber just to get away from one of the classmates who kept following her and be friends with her. The lunch break after that lesson got Sulli not wanting to stop talking to Amber and that was how they ended up friends.

Due to the fact that Krystal now doesn’t feel alone, her confidence definitely increased, and everyone really noticed that change in her. Whenever the teachers would throw questions to the class, her hand would always shoot up to the air and she would answer correctly; as in all of them. They knew she was smart, but they never knew she was that smart. Now, everyone thinks their whole group was the group of brains, for Amber and Sulli was going for the academic side as well, and nobody knew which side Luna’s going.

Whilst everyone had changed, Krystal’s feelings had never faltered, and everything about her ‘love story’ with L stayed the same. They have never spoken since they spoke during that Home Ec lesson a year ago. Not even casual hellos or goodbyes. Not even a single look or tiny smiles.

When Sulli had only joined Krystal, Amber and Luna, they allowed IU to hang out with them, only because no one wanted to be friends with her at all. And a few weeks after everyone found out that Krystal had feelings for L, Sulli started going out with L. Imagine how weird it must’ve been.

One time, a few days after Sulli had officially began hanging out with them, they looked for the song ‘Friday’ by Rebecca Black just so they can have a laugh. It was already loading when IU suddenly blurted out, “Sulli, do you have a boyfriend?”

They were silent for a second until Sulli replied, “Uhm… yeah.”

“Oh, who is it?” IU asked again. Everyone, including Sulli, thought she was going a little bit over the line asking those questions straight-forwardly.

“Uh, L.” Although it made her feel awkward, Sulli still replied, however she refused to look at IU at all.

“Oh.” IU let out, “Still?”

Krystal’s eyes, along with the others’, widened at IU’s sudden question.

“Uhm… yeah…” Obviously, Sulli had no idea what to reply next. Did IU really just ask that?

Not wanting to continue anymore, Amber finally spoke as she pointed at the phone loading the video, “Hey, look, it’s loaded!”

They all watched the video and tried their best not to ever think about what just occurred right in front of their eyes just then.

The thing was, at the same time Krystal admitted to herself she has feelings for L, she wanted to ask her ‘classmates’ who they would go out with in their class. However, no one would answer. Since Krystal still wasn’t thinking that much yet, she talked to IU and asked her. At first, IU refused, but after Krystal compromised that she would reveal hers too. In the end, IU replied with L. As much as it pained Krystal, a promise was a promise, and she revealed it was L, too.

Which was why it was no wonder to Krystal whoever it was that told L she started liking him. No one knew about it but Krystal, and it still is that way. However, it wasn’t only Krystal’s secret that was revealed, but IU’s too. Everything says Krystal would’ve told him as well as a way of getting back at IU, but it wasn’t her. It was IU’s fault.

Wendy once told Krystal in one class that IU was obsessed with L. She said that one time, L was walking fast trying to run away from IU and even had to hide behind Wendy just for him to get away from her. She had tried to ask him out so many times that it was driving L nuts.

And then, IU still had the guts to question L’s relationship with Sulli.

By the end of the year, Sulli and L broke up for they both knew there was no spark between them anymore, and they both went separate ways.
