Pinks POV:

"Acia!" I yelled, running towards the man in the orange suit. Acia was one of my childhood friends, we had known each other forever. He was always there for me, and we both had created some of the best memories with each other.

As I embraced him in a tight hug, I let myself relax onto his chest. Kailani's presence, as powerful as it was, was a bit overwhelming. Her gaze and the way she held herself was different, it was too much for me to handle. The feeling of relief that washed over me as I hugged Acia made me forget all about Kailani and her aura, and all my prior thoughts immediately disappeared.

"You don't look so good. Is everything okay?" Acia slowly took my arms off his back and held them in his. His face underlined with much concern, I could never hide anything from him.

I shook my head and gave him a feeble smile. "I'm fine! I've just never done anything like this before so I'm a bit nervous".

Acia held his gaze with me for a few more seconds, before his eyes ended up on Kailani. She was standing near the computer, watching us with dead eyes. Acia stared at her intensely, returning her with the same energy. Acia looked mad, and then I realized that he had figured out why I looked so dull.

"Is she bothering you?" Acia said, looking at me. Yet I wasn't paying attention to him. I was watching Kailani and her glare which had now reduced to a simple frown. There was something puzzling about her, and it only made me want to learn more about her.

"Junia! Are you even listening?" I jumped, startled at Acia's sudden change of emotion.

"S-sorry. What were you saying?"

Acia sighed. "That girl, stay away from her. She doesn't look very welcoming. I don't think she's good news."

"How would you know? You don't even know anything about her."

"That's not what I meant-"

"You know what, I think it would be better if we just changed the subject." I smiled at Acia, who in turn looked hurt. I hadn't meant to hurt him, but for some reason, I felt a strong need to protect Kailani. I didn't know why.

Cyan's POV

I watched Junia and the orange crewmate huddled together at the spawning area, from the corner of my eye as I pretended to inspect the room of the Skeld. Junia kept her eyes on me, looking both intimidated and curious. I wondered how someone could express so much with their eyes, she had the most beautiful eyes, I felt my stomach churn at the fact that I'd have to be the one to watch the light leave them.

Orange whispered things into her ear, occasionally looking up at me to give me a venomous glare as Junia stood in fixated awe. I felt a blush crawl up my neck, I scowled in anger. I hadn't been here five minutes and my emotions were already starting to interfere, I distracted myself by waiting for others to spawn. I waited for my companion, Seven Harlow, he was the other imposter that I'd have to work with.

I prayed that someone else would hurry up and spawn. Suddenly, with a flash, a tall black figure appeared in the spawning pod. Junia yelped and jumped into orange's arms as he chuckled and embraced her in turn. Without a trace of instability, the spawner removed his helmet and ruffled his velvety black hair. He wore a menacing smile as he walked over to me. Junia and orange watching in awe. He stopped in front of me, his smile unfaltering as I stared daggers at him. It was my fellow imposter, I'd met him before during training. No matter who you were, you could never get used to his captivating grace.

"Seven Harlow" He breathed as he stuck his hand out. "Pleasure," I said flatly, ignoring his hand. His smile faltered, but only for a second as he dropped his hand back down. We had to pretend to have no previous relations with each other for the mission since it would be a threat if either one of us was caught. I glanced over at the colourful duo to see that they were back to their hushed conversations.

"You know, you've got to try and be friendlier than that if you want to get the trust of the crewmates" Seven whispered under his breath. I scoffed in reply, he was right though, if we were to complete this mission, I would have to stop being so resentful. Yet I can't, I don't have the chance at a new life in a new world, there isn't anything I could do to change the inevitable, so I just stared into the cold, grey walls.

The conversation between Seven played in my head. I had to make friends with people, that would be hard. I was bad at making friends in general, it sounds narcissistic, but no one could keep up with me, and I didn't want to waste my time on those idiots. Not only that, I preferred working alone, I found that putting your trust in other people hurt when you were let down. I glanced back at Junia, seeing her laugh, her back arching as she threw her head back. I felt a warmth blossom in the pit of my stomach as my cheeks began to get warm, I couldn't do this, if I didn't kill Junia first, I'd fail. She had to be first on the list, Junia Khaleesi would be the first to die.

Pinks POV:

I laughed as Acia stared at the newcomer with his jaw wide open. "Seven Harlow". His name was just as enchanting as his face. He spoke with such elegance and charm, almost as if he was a brighter and friendlier version of Kailani. Seven glanced over in our direction for a split second before immediately turning to Kailani. Acia and I watched as Kailani and Seven started to engage in a conversation, although their voices were hushed.

"Looks like someone found a boyfriend", Acia whispered to me as he tilted his head towards Kailaini and Seven.

I laughed, Acia always knew how to enlighten the mood. I looked over at him, glad that he was here with me. We would get through these missions together, no matter what happened.

I looked over at Kailani one last time, startled to see that she was staring at me too.
