Chapter 4 (Milli 9 years old) Where are my parents?

I saw my parents step into a room full of wailing and I never saw them again. I thought that the wailing had been people who were sad they couldn't go with their family into this 'safe' camp. When I was 9, my sister and a man who was a Nazi had told me the truth of why Mother and Father hadn't come out of that building. It was because they were murdered in cold blood. They were murdered because the Nazi's thought they didn't have the strength to serve in Auschwitz. My sister is now 20 years old. It has been 4 long years since we first arrived here in Auschwitz. I have been long cured from my illness for years and now, I have to work as a lowly slave. I used to be a normal girl with a normal life. Now I live my life with my sister as an experiment... as a slave. There is no hope in this place... No hope of escaping this, no hope in surviving this god forsaken place. People would rather died than to live in such a horrible world as this.

A gruff Nazi soldier (I understand a little German) is talking and I am hearing things about Adolf Hitler being the best leader he'd ever known. Hitler? THE Adolf Hitler? He's our savior from the first big war! Yes! He will save us and let us free! But... He... Why is he making us stay in this horrid place? Wait... He is also saying that Adolf was the best because he had started a war? By invading Poland?! B... But I thought Hitler was a good man! He IS a good man! Not a person that starts world wars! He said he would guide us through the first BIG war. He'd said, he promised! HE LIED!!! WHY!? He had no reason to take us to a death camp!! We didn't do anything to earn this! I didn't do anything to earn this! Why would he take us Jews and send us to these dirty camps to work as slaves?! This isn't fair!
