Chapter 1

YOU ARE LUKE

Every summer, I visited my grandma, until the year I committed my first crime. You may be asking Why? Well, it all started in 5th grade. Every day I go to school with my best friend, Zander. Who I have a crush on for years. I never go to tell my feelings to him, Because I'm scared it will ruin our friendship.  It was the last day of 5th grade, I saw someone talking to Zander, no it wasn't someone it was Mike. You might be asking, Who's Mike? He is my mortal enemy. I have hated him ever since 2nd grade. "Oh, Hey Luke!" Said Zander waving his hand, while Mike, turns his head and gives me the death stare. I walked to Zander and Mike while waving my hand back. "Hey, Zan! " I said while stopping and sticking my tongue out at Mike. "So, you coming to my house to practice on the drums, with Hailey, Right?" Said Zander, He zipped up his backpack. "Duh, of course, I could never miss a day without practice" "and I wanna stay with you" I whispered to myself, "What was that?" Said Zander turning his head sideways. "Oh nothing," I said smiling. "You know I'm still here," said Mike stepping forward to grab our attention. " Oh sorry Mike," said  Zander. Oh, and did I forget to mention, Mike likes Zander, and I'm trying to get him out of the way. "Can I guys come to practice with you?" Asked Mike.
"Y-" Said Zander but I interrupted him "No!" I screamed at Mike's face.
"Why did you do that Luke?" Said Zander confused. "Um Because he doesn't know how to play instruments, yeah he doesn't know how to play instruments," I said. Mike looked at me, he looked really angry. "Okay! Cmon Luke I don't want to be late." Said Zander grabbing my arm. I blushed a lot." Okay," I said back following Zander. I turned around and stick my tongue at Mike. Now he's out of the way. What could go wrong?

Zander and I exited the school doors and walking down the path, leaves flying around us, wind breezing, Zander took a deep breath. I looked at him, I blushed and smiled.  Zander hugged his self, I looked at him, he looked cold, I decided to give him my jacket "For me?" Said Zander looking at me, he turned pink. "Yea, you looked cold," I said, I smiled. He looked at me his heart turned warm, he knew that he found the love of his life, and he couldn't give him up  "Thanks, Luke!" Said Zander, his cheeks turned red, he grabbed my jacket and wore it. I pulled up the hoodie and hugged him. "Your welcome," I said, he hugged me back. We slowly separated, talked, and walked to Zanders garage to practice. I opened the garage slowly, seeing Hailey on her phone.  Zander bent down to go under the garage "Hailey!" He saw her, he ran and hugged her, "Woah, Slow down Zander!" She said as she puts her phone away, and hugs him back.

"MIKE?!" I screamed. "Oh I'm not Mike I'm his twin brother!" Said the boy. "Oh, what's your name," I asked him, I helped him up. "James, the names James!" He said as he grabs my arm and to help himself. I looked at him, I saw Zander walking by, he looked angry And jealous. "And thanks for the lend." He said he smiled. "Oh have you seen my brother, it looks like you know him," Said James. I was sweating. "No!" I said. "Oh okay!" Said James, "I gotta go bye!" Said James waving me goodbye.
And that was my first crime, I did a lot when the tried to get between me and Zander. I'm in high school, I'm still with Zander in school, I was wating for Zander at the exit of the school, he waved at me and we walked to the path of our house's."Hey Zan!" I said I placed my hand on his shoulder, "Are you okay?" I asked him. " Yea I'm fine.." said Zander looking down. He didn't look okay, I turned my head and looked at him, are eyes stares into each other. Without warning, his mouth is on mine. He kisses me roughly. Completely unyielding. His hands are on the back of my head, holding me in place. And for a long, suspended moment, I'm frozen, unsure of whether I want to push him away. Then, all at once, heat spreads through me, and I thaw.
I kiss him back.
it was a long kiss. We slowly moved away from each other. Zander looked red. 
'What are you trying to tell me?'
I asked Zander blushing.
'That it wasn't just a kiss" Said, Zander

'Not just a kiss?'
I said

'Yes'
Said Zander
