CHAPTER 2

ARZANA

When the call ended, we immediately went straight to the headquarters. And by looking at my friends, it's obvious in their faces that they're nervous to what the call is all about. And yeah, even me, I admit that I feel the same way. Our bosses will never call us if it's not necessary or a mission. Surely, they will convoke a meeting to Karna, our group.

We placed our fingers on the plate of the optical sensors, illuminated by a LED light source. Through a prism and a system of lenses, our images were projected on a camera. Using a frame grabber techniques, the images were stored and ready for analysis. And suddenly, the tinted egress opened which means our fucking identities were valid and welcome.

"We've been in missions many times but this is my first time being nervous. Like, what the fuck?" Zodiac grunted while we're walking. I'm kinda amused everytime she speaks 'cause she kept on swaying her hands in the air and do gestures as she kept on rolling her eyes.

Katana laughed. "Coming from you, huh? You're the one who told us that you're excited then now, you're nervous? I can't understand you, Zodiac," she blubbered. We just laughed.

"I am excited 'cause you know Mamá, she will never let me leave Europe. She always wanted me safe," Zodiac pouted. We just sighed when she said that. Well, she's a rare being that needs care. She always think that she's a preternatural one. Well, not really normal 'cause she's rare. Poor, la chica.

Hanabi tapped Zodiac's shoulder. "Always remember that your Mamá and we, your friends just wanted you safe. Many people were just around, chasing you. I know that it's hard on your part to live normal but please understand that you're a unique being, Vashdrim," Zodiac just smiled and nodded. Aw, the kid look so innocent. Oh! Let me rephrase it.. she's the most deadly in the group. Take note of that.

We've reached Commander Lavi's center. We scrutinized the whole place when an agent suddenly appeared.

"Looks like a mission huh, Karna?" Agent Athena greeted. She's the troop leader of Arjuna, the second top skilled agents of Alzantha.

"What are you doing here, hermana?" Katana's bitter voice enswathed the whole room. Athena laughed and forcefully hugged Katana, her step-sister.

"Are you still mad at me, mi hermana pequeña?" Athena spoke in vaunting and proud manner. Katana glared while getting rid of her sister's arms around her. She looks irritated.

"Suéltame, perra!" Katana hissed. She suddenly grabbed Athena's hair and biffed her in the jaw part. We became alert. Katana was livid at her sister that even Hanabi can't handle her.

Athena stood up and started attacking Katana. But knowing Katana, like me, she's expert in dealing with hand to hand combat. Athena kept on hitting Katana's body but Katana caught her sister's arm and twisted it. Athena kept on growling as she endures Katana's ire on her. It surely hurts! Damn, Katana!

"Just accept the fact that you're no longer Dad's favorite. It's already me, zorra! You're no longer part of the family. You and your mother are—" Katana punched Athena's nose which upshot blood and that stopped her spitting her shits. Well, if I were Katana, I'll do the same thing, especially when she starts mentioning my Mamá. Well, that's another story to tell.

"I've accepted the fact that Papá abandoned me already. But don't fucking drag my mother to your fucking issues 'cause if you can't fetter your fucking mouth, I will fucking kill your whole kin! Now, go to your mother and fucking cry. Vete a la mierda!" Katana was shaking in anger. She kept on trying to get out of our grasp. How can we stop their fight if both of them were incensed? Carajo!
