Chapter 5

Crystal

It was almost noon by the time we finished in the hospital and I knew Joziey will be freaking out by now.
"hmm,Reed don't you have other things you need to attend to?"
"I cancelled it,perks of being the boss.So let's go and eat"he said smiling.He led me towards his car and even though I was expecting it I was still amazed at the type of car he uses.He opened the door for me I I entered muttering a thank you. I was trying to fasten my seat belt when I heard him enter the car.
"Let me help you with that" he moved closer to help me with the seat belt then he kept his hand on my tummy and said
"There is a probability that you are carrying my baby, right?"
"Probably but we won't know until later though"
"Have you ever had an unsuccessful one?" He asked as he drove out into the main road.
"No" I said shaking my head "So how many have you done?"
"Six" I answered
"Whoa that much. So how much are you charging?" He asked and I thought about what Avery and Joziey said but I shrugged it off and told him the normal charge.
"Is that what you charge all your clients?"
"Yes,why you asking?"
"No wonder you skip breakfast. Don't you know that it is the essential out of all of foods"
"I know but what can I do?"
"I am going to send the money and I am adding to it. Don't bother asking how much I am not telling,put your account number here" he passed his phone to me and I collected it reluctantly ready to argue
"You don't need to do that,it is what others pay"
"I know that but I am not others"
"Reed I am serious" I deadpanned
"Crystal,you are having my baby and like it or not I am going to spoil you before,during and after your pregnancy"

Reed

After eating I went to drop Crystal off at her bakery and I asked her to give me the address to her house and she told me she lives in a small apartment on top of the bakery.
"So I will call you?"I said as she was about to get down
"Okay,no problem. Uhm do you want to come in?"she asked as she turned back "oh sure i would love to" I said getting out of the car with her. She pushed the door open and we walked in.
"Crystal you are late. I was starting to get worried"the guy sitting by the counter said hugging her and I felt this possessive feeling run through me
"Holy Mother Mary, Is that Reed West standing right there or am I having one of my imaginations" the lady that was talking to the guy when we entered said and I gave her one of my killer smiles
"Avery knock it off. Reed meet my bestie Joziey and Avery. Joziey,Avery meet you know who" Crystal said as she introduced us
"Yeah,yeah we know who he is. Can i get a selfie?"Joziey said coming over to me
"Sure why not" I said as he came closer with his phone and Avery also asked for one
"Oh stop it guys" Crystal said and I assured her that it was okay. We took turns taking the pictures and I told them I wanted a copy on my phone. I looked around for Crystal before I saw her come out with a plastic bag
"Crystal,come and take a picture with the hotshot billionaire would you?"I said smirking
"Nah don't worry. I am okay"
"Who cares about that? The hot guy said he wants a picture and a picture he will get"Joziey said pushing her to my side and taking the pictures for us. I was ready to take my leave when Crystal handed the plastic bag I saw her carrying earlier to me
"There are different types of cupcakes on there. It is my appreciation for everything you did today"
"No Crystal I wasn't expecting anything from you. You don't have to do this"
"Don't worry about it. Just don't forget to put it in the fridge in case you don't finish it today"
"That won't be a problem,my sisters are coming over. Thank you"
"You are welcome" she said smiling, I said bye to her friends and kissed her on her cheeks before going out but not before seeing the shock on Avery and Joziey's faces and the way Crystal turned red and I whistled to my car spotting a smile on my face.
