BEEP BEEP BEEP! There goes my alarm clock. I sprang out of bed. This is going to be the most exciting day of my life. I scurried to my closet, and grabbed the one last suitcase, that was ready to be filled. I ripped the sheets off of my bed, and shoved them- along with my comforter - into the large, red and white polkadotted suitcase. Now, I need to get ready, I thought.

I scurried off to my nearly-empty bathroom to wash up. I splashed some cold water on my face, rubbed in some mouistrizer, and quickly rinsed it off. I reached under the sink to get my makeup bag, and carefully applied eyeliner under my eye, and mascara to my lashes. Then I threw the makeup bag into my purse.

I sped to my closet, and quickly glanced at the clock. It was now 6:15, and I had 45 minutes to get ready!

Quickly I grabbed a pair of skinnies, and a bright, zebra tank-top. I jumped into the skinnies and pulled the tank over my head. Ugh, I thought, now i have to do my hair.

I skipped to my dresser, and grabbed my orange comb, then quickly got all of the knots out of my orange/brown, freakishly-long hair. Perfect, now I need to straighten it. While frantically searching through my suitcases for my pink straightener, I find the bobby pin that I'll need for later. Then, I finally find the god-damn straightener.

I hurriedly straighten my hair, and finally need to straighten my bangs. I find that whenever I do, I always burn myself. Well, its worth a shot.

I lift the straightener, a centimeter from my forehead, and straighten my bangs.

"I did it!" I exclaim, ecstaticly, then, of course, it slips through my hands and falls, burning a tiny part of my leg.

"CRAP!" I cry out in pain.

"ALEX, 15 MINUTES LEFT!" my mom obnoxiously yells. Then I rush to put the straightener away, and clip my bangs back with the bobby pin.

I gather all of my bags, books, and suitcases by my orange door. Next, I grab my big, bright-colored zebra purse, and fill it with things to do on the plane. I wind up packing my Ipod, Blackberry, Camera, Macbook, a copy of Teen Vogue, Lauren Conrad's L.A. Candy, and headphones. I turn to my clock and I have two minutes left.

I walk around my room, scanning it for anything I might have missed. I find, sitting in the corner of my bedroom, my Pikachu stuffed animal. My bestfriends all pitched in for it, because it actually was pretty expensive. I pick it up, and hug it and start to cry. On the back is a sticky note that reads:

Always Remember.<3

Love Ali, Sam, and Brittany.

Then I pack Pikachu in my oversized purse and prepare to leave New York, once and for all.

My mom comes up and carries all of my stuff down. I slip on my black converse at the door, and we pack the car with my suitcases.

"Wow, " I say, "I didn't think it would fill up most of the van." I stare blankly at the 12 suitcases filled with my whole room, basically. Then my gaze is fixed on my house. 24 Paisley Drive. Suddenly the memories rush to me. I see all of the sleepovers with my friends. The parties, the diasters, the sledding, and just growing up. I'm going to miss it so much.

I grab my camera, and snap a picture because this is where my journey begins.

Two hours later, my mom and I are sitting in the airport, surrounded by my suitcases.

"Well Alex, this is it." Mom starts.

I continue, " Mom, I come back December 17th and stay for a whole month, and more. Then I'm back on Spring Break, and then finally it'll be summer and I'll come home for awhile. Don't worry, " I comfort.

"I know, I know, but how are we going to make due when you're not home?" My mom questions, then tears pour from her eyes.

"Mom, I'll text, email, and call everyday! I promise."

And with that she gives me a huge hug.

"I love you so much Alex, don't you forget it." She lets go of me and then that's it. The announcer calls out right after...

"Flight to California will be leaving in 10 minutes!"

"Well," Mom says, smiling, "You got a plan to catch missy!"

We both talk 6 suitcases, and bring them to the plane. The workers talk them to the luggage room, and then I give my mom a huge hug.

"Bye Mom, I love you," I say.

"I love you too!" she exclaims, tearing up. Then with that, I get on the plane and right before she walks away, I wave, blow her a kiss, and then we take off.
