Cali and I headed towards our lockers after third period. As we walked down the hall, I could feel all the eyes on me. God!I thought. This isn't my fault! Jake liked ME!Geez people, it isn't polite to stare!
"Ugh, " Cali started, breaking the silence, "jerks these days."
"I know, " I muttered. It was kind of upsetting how the most popular guy in school loved me, but couldn't break up with his slut of a girlfriend. He's cool.
"You okay?" asked Iris from the locker next to me. I turn to see her putting in her combo. Behind her, the endless line of dull, cream, lockers continues down the long, endless hallway.
"I'm fine, " I lie, assuming she would already know that I was pissed off at Jake. "I assume you would know what happened, considering the whole school does."
"Yeah, Jake's a d**k, anyways, " Iris says casually, as Ms.Ambers walks by.
"Language, Iris!" she screams, without glancing in our direction. She then continued down the hall.
"Hey guys!" Hannah exclaimed from behind us. She was carrying her bright, blue, oversized bag. I grabbed my zebra bag, and took out my phone. 10:50. Two minutes to get to lunch. I slipped my phone back into my pocket, and walked with the girls to the lunchroom.
On our way to the cafeteria, Cali inches towards me.
"Jake Alert!" she whisper-shouts, right in my ear.
"Thanks, " I reply, whispering, and then I look ahead, to see him.Shit, to the hundredth power.
I fake-smile and wave as he stares at me. His piercing, green eyes making me melt on the spot. I waved again, and he flashed a genuine smile, and I thought: F*ck you!
I looked down the hall to my right, where he had walked down, and saw Alicia. Clearly, she spotted me too, because she tugged at Jake's shirt, and pulled him closer to her, and started to passionetly kiss Jake. What a bitch! He put his arms around her tightly, and kissed her so hard I thought he might break her. He pushed her into the wall, and now they were making out. Ew. When they parted, I flashed the finger, before Jake could put his sad face on. Then Cali pulled the back of my shirt, urging me to turn left.
F*ck them all. I don't need them. And with that, we entered the cafeteria.

"Woah, " I said in awe. I was speechless yet again.
The wood floors were a glowing, golden brown. The walls facing us were all glass, and if you looked out, you could see the beach, the surfers, the people, the stores. It was beautiful! There was a large section of tables, and booths, and then a smaller-not too small- section where we could buy food. Cali and Iris led me there, while Hannah went and got a table. I looked all over, not knowing what to get.
I finally decided on a spicy chicken cesar salad wrap, along with French Onion Soup, and Fiji water. It all added up to $3.50, and it looked delicious.
Cali got General Tso's Chicken with rice, and a snapple. While Iris got a Subway Sandwich, and a Sprite. She led us to the table Hannah had picked and was grinning. It was right by the window, so we had a perfect view of anything going on outside. I took the chair closer to the window, across from Hannah. Cali sat down next to me, and Iris plopped down across from her.
"The window seats, " Iris started to explain.
"Are for the popular girls and boys of Hollywood High, " Cali concluded.
"We are in the middle, " Hannah added. " But we still have the right to sit here.We aren't as popular as Alicia though."
Hannah took out a thermos, and started scooping and eating her mac n' cheese. Cali was biting into chicken, and Iris was unwrapping her sub. I spotted Alicia.
I guess Iris saw the disgusted look on my face because she spit out, " Speak of the Devil."
We turned to see an angry Alicia, and a pissed off posse. Ugh, I wasn't in the mood.
"What do they want?" I asked, nastily, shortly before they arrived at our table. I picked up my Fiji water, and sipped it, nonchalantly. Then I put it back down in front of me, and Alicia snatched it.
"You're sitting at our table!" she exclaimed, sweetly, grinning at us, with a bright, and shiny smile.
Iris stood up, and grabbed my Fiji water, and soon enough I had it back."There are 50 other tables, LEECH, pick one."
"But my boyfriend is sitting over there, " she paused to point at Jake, who was sitting at the next table over, " and I should like, sit by him."
Now, I stood up, knowing she was rubbing it in some more.Cali looked over at me, her eyes widening as if to say, What are you doing?!
"Bitch needs a say?" Alicia raised an eyebrow.
"No, but maybe you should call Daddy, and he can buy you a nice, shiny, expensive table, to put next to your boyfriends, sound good LEECH?" I mocked her, in a highpitched, girly voice. She looked defeated, but wouldn't give up yet.
"Funny," she finally said.
"I know, I really-" I was rudely interrupted, and was going to say something about it.
"Hey!" I screamed, as she poured ice-cold Fiji water down my back. Just then, I noticed Hannah take out her iced, Starbucks' coffee. I grabbed it and held it behind my back. Alicia stood there waiting for my response.
"I'll pay you back, " I mutter to Hannah. She nods, approving my idea.
"Fuck you!" I say to Alicia, and then I quickly uncap the coffee, and pour the contents on top of her head. She whimpered and whined and ran over to Jake's table. The wannabes followed. He turned to me, and almost frowned, then I flashed him the finger, and he turned away.
I grabbed my phone out of my bag, and sent him a text.
Me: Tell your girlfriend I say Game on.
Jake: You bet<3
Me:No hearts, loverboy, you've had your chance.
WIth that, the bell rings for lunch, and I head to my locker, looking forward to gym with Alicia.
