"i will not hesitate to bring you to the busters, soons, if you do not stop following me, i tell you." jihoon warns.
"but hoonie, i know a perfect spot to hide—"
"i don't care—"
"—and i prepared something for you!" jihoon was silent when he heard the words. soonyoung beamed, knowing he won.
"did you really prepare somthing?" jihoon asks in a soft voice, a rare occasion for the other members, but an everyday blessing for soonyoung.
"of course, let's head over there right now." soonyoung intertwined their hands, a gesture that soonyoung knew jihoon loved the most. soonyoung saw the little smile on jihoon's face, and he can already feel the butterflies in his stomach even after all these years they have been together. these small things that would make jihoon smile, would always be worth soonyoung's effort.
soonyoung led jihoon to a storage house filled with stacks of what seemed to be packages.
"where is it?" jihoon asks.
"it's up there. let's climb, i'm sure the person i asked a favor to look over is already bored."
soonyoung assisted jihoon, his cute little boyfriend, up the stack.
"also, hoonie, once you're up there, please close your eyes first, okay?"
"but why?" jihoon complains as he was trying to climb another level.
"just do it, okay? for me, please?"
"o-okay."
soonyoung followed suit and was met by a familiar boy, smiling towards him.
"thank you for staying."
"no worries, hyung." the boy smiled even more.
"do you have somewhere to go after this?" soonyoung asked. jihoon, on the other hand, still has his eyes closed, confused on whoever soonyoung was talking to. but the voice seemed familiar, really familiar.
"yeah. vernon's got something for seungkwan, too."
"oh really? well then, thank you again." soonyoung watched as the guy climbed down and waved goodbye to him.
"can i open my eyes now?" asked jihoon, making soonyoung chuckle at the tone of his voice.
"sure, hoonie. at my count of three. one, two, three!"
jihoon opened his eyes, and slightly surprised by the sudden light.
when his eyes fully adjusted, that's when he noticed the picnic blanket laid in front of him.
"surprise!" soonyoung exclaimed.
jihoon was out of words. he just looked towards at soonyoung who is smiling widely at him. he engulfed the latter in a tight hug, not finding the words to describe what he is feeling right now. yes, he knows he's not good at showing his feelings, and would always rather resort to pushing the latter away, but soonyoung would always understand him and instead shower him with love more.
"thank you, soonie. thank you." soonyoung just patted jihoon's soft curls.
the two settled themselves on the picnic blanket. soonyoung turns on the battery-powered fan he prepared. he took out the bottle of lemonade he packed together with the sandwiches. he poured them each a cup and handed jihoon a sandwich, too.
the two talked to each other about random things. their first meeting, the first date, the first fight and all other firsts. soon, the lemonade and trash they had were all neatly put in the basket. the two are currently laid down in the blanket, just lying close to each other.
"hey, soon.." jihoon breaks the silence.
"hm?"
"i know i may not be that showy of my feelings, or that responsive of your skinships, but i just would like you to know that i-i love each and every single of them." jihoon turns his body to the right, now he is facing soonyoung who also turns his body.
"i love you very much, soonyoung." jihoon says, feeling shy. soonyoung just smiled fondly. jihoon just make him feel all these heart fluttering emotions, most especially, loved. he just loves jihoon so much.
"i love you, too, hoonie. so much." he stared directly at jihoon's orbs, a haven he always gets lost in.
"c-can i kiss you?" soonyoung carefully asks.
jihoon blushes, but curtly nods. soonyoung feels giddy all over again. he pulls jihoon closer to him, and slowly leans forward. jihoon immediately closes his eyes, while soonyoung made sure not to blink. he wanted to savor every moment of this special time. their lips are getting closer, a few inches more and their lips would touch—
"found you!" exclaimed chan, interrupting the moment. "guys, they're here— ew, you were going to kiss each other a while ago, weren't you? guys, the soonhoon couple is kissing!" chan yelled, making the couple glare at him. jeonghan, seokmin and joshua followed chan up.
"are you really kissing?"
"are you going to do something else?"
"we're filming gose, you two!" that last line was joshua's.
jihoon just scoffed, clearly annoyed that their moment was ruined.
"summon." he held his palm up, confusing the busters.
a loud announcement was then heard on the whole set.
"summon is used. all busters back to the headquarters. i repeat, summon is used. all busters back to the headquarters." the four let out strings of complains, chan complaining about how he want to see the couple being lovey-dovey.
"finally peace—" soonyoung's words of relief was cut shortly when jihoon suddenly stole a peck on his lips.
the said person immediately lied down on the blanket, covering his obviously red cheeks. soonyoung was frozen for a few good seconds, then laid down beside his boyfriend. he wrapped his arms around him and oulled him closer.
"you're so cute, jihoonie."
"i will ultimately sacrifice you to the busters if we're almost caught again, soonyoung, trust me."
"jihoonie!"
jihoon snugs into the hug more, and soonyoung just watches his boyfriend snuggle.
"i love you, soonie. i hope you never forget that."
"i will never, hoonie. i love you, too, very much."
