"nonie, where are you taking me? shouldn't we be hunting for the hyungs now?" seungkwan complained. ever since the loud sound blared, vernon almost immediately grabbed his hands and pulled him towards some place.
"nonie—"
"hush, kwannie. the hyungs will do the hunting first, and there is a lot of time where we can join them. right now, let yourself rest, okay? have you been getting enough sleep these past few days?" vernon halts his step, and turned towards seungkwan.
the latter just looked away.
vernon sighs, and engulfs seungkwan with a hug." see? now, let's take you to rest first. "
seungkwan stayed silent along the way for the rest of the walk.
they went towards the exit, seungkwan wondered if they will go outside the venue—
"no, kwannie, we're not going outside. the hyungs will scold me if we do." vernon laughs.
the two turned to a corner, and there awaits a picnic blanket, with some pillows and a bunch of snacks.
"thank god you're here already." vernon laughs.
"someone here was hesitating to come, so we came later than planned. anyways thank you so much." vernon told the guy who was looking after the setup.
"no worries, at least i didn't have to see soonyoung-hyung and jihoon-hyung being lovey-dovey with each other." the guy chuckled.
"aw, you missed the opportunity to see jihoon-hyung being all cute." vernon joins the guy chuckling.
seungkwan smiled to the guy as they watch them bid his goodbyes to them.
"let's sit, kwannie." vernon assists seungkwan to the blanket. seungkwan sighed in content as the comfort of the blanket and pillows filled his body.
"thank you for this, nonie." he sincerely said, to which vernon just smiled fondly.
"anything for you, boo." vernon joins seungkwan at the blanket after he took out the sandwiches and juice from the picnic basket. he handed seungkwan a sandwich and a glass of juice.
the two ate their snack while talking about random stuff.
"you want to do something, boo? i've got board games in the basket." seungkwan eagerly nodded at vernon's suggestion.
"let's play scrabble first!" he exclaimed.
the two had fun playing the game, seungkwan always complaining how vernon knows a lot more english words than him, and vernon always gives him ideas and hints on how to win the game. so, in the end, seungkwan won to which he took pride upon.
"yes, boo seungkwan, english king we been knew." vernon laughs at his boyfriend's antics.
"now, what?" vernon asks. seungkwan didn't answer, instead lied down with his head on vernon's lap, hugging the pillows on his side.
vernon smiled fondly, and let his hand run smoothly on the latter's hair. he hums their favorite song, and watches as seungkwan slowly falls asleep.
"i love you, boo." he whispers quietly.
"i love you, too." came seungkwan gibberish answer. vernon smiled wider, something he always does whenever seungkwan's around. his world just becomes much brighter whenever seungkwan comes into the picture.
vernon slowly takes out his phone and snaps a picture, no two, well just another hundred picture of seungkwan to add to his collections.
he just loves this boy so much.
a loud sound blared across the whole place, and vernon was fast enough to carefully cover seungkwan's ears. his boo is resting, no one's allowed to bother.
"summon is used. all busters back to the headquarters. i repeat, summon is used. all busters back to the headquarters." was the announcement.
we have to go back to base? but boo's sleeping. guess i'll just have to wait until someone finds us here and make us go back, i suppose. you just rest there, boo.
vernon was occupied with thoughts of seungkwan that he did not notice a few minutes pass by. someone was bound to find them sometime now.
"guys, there you are—" vernon immediately hushed chan who happened to be the one that found them. he pointed down to seungkwan who is peacefully sleeping on his lap.
"you guys are just like soonyoung-hyung and jihoon-hyung. gross." chan whispered.
"you're just salty he isn't here." vernon countered.
chan scoffed. "whatever. just go back to the base already, the hyungs are waiting." and with that he went away.
vernon looked down, his boo is just so serene when he's asleep, contrary to his loud self when his awake.
"boo.." vernon lightly shakes him, "boo, wake up. we have to go back to the base." seungkwan wakes up and rubs his eyes.
"huh?"
"you're so cute!" vernon pinches his cheeks, earning groans of complaints from seungkwan.
"we have to go back to the base. let's go." vernon stood up, and reached out his hand, pulling seungkwan to stand up.
"how about all of these?" seubfkwan pointed to the blanket and all other stuffs.
"i know you wanna go join the hyungs in hunting, so just leave this to me."
"are you sure? i can help you if you want—"
"don't worry, boo. i can handle this, just enjoy the rest of the game." seungkwan hesitantly nodded.
"but catch up, okay? i'll be waiting at the base." seungkwan says. he steps closer to vernon, and pecks him on the lips.
"i love you."
"i love you, too, boo." and seungkwan goes back first.
vernon immediately cleans up everything, and hands them to their manager waiting outside.
"you two have fun?" their manager asks him.
"yeah, thank you hyung."
he sprints back to the base. once he arrived, he can see seungkwan being his loud and bubbly self once again.
their eyes met, and sent each other a fond smile.
glad to know you have rested well, boo.

"i love you." they both mouthed to each other.
