I smiled at the lady.
"Pwede na rin po kayong magpahinga, Maam. Pupuntahan ko na lang po kayo bukas to check on our patient."
"Salamat po talaga Doc."
I tapped her shoulders and respectfully leave them. I still have clinic hours. Tapos may ilan pa akong irounds.

Hindi pa man ako nakakapagpalit ay nagtatakbo na ako sa ER.
"Yes??" sabi ko sa mga nasa ER
"Doc dito po."
I was shocked to see someone who got stabbed with blood dripping. Haiii naku!
"Patient details."
"17 years old, male, no known allergies, stabbed by a drunk man with a kitchen knife about an inch on the lower right abdomen."
Napailing na lang ako. Haii talaga naman itong mga lasing na ito.
"Anong Vitals?"
"160/80, 90 per min heart rate, respiratory is 25 and temperature is 97F po Doc."
"Pakiprepare ng CT Scan. Nasaan ang guardian?"
"Nasa labas lang po Doc."
"Doctora Jasmin, talk to the guardians and explain them this."
"Pero Doc, wala po si Doc Javier."
"That's why you need to do it." Mukhang natakot ang batang Doctor
"You can't?" tanong ko
"Kaya po Doc."
"Good, go, talk to them. I'll ask the others to prepare the OR."
Dahil nagkaroon ng emergency procedure, nadelay na naman ang clinic hours ko. I let Jasmin handled this surgery I was present there to assist but I let her be the one to do it. She's already a third-year intern. I made sure na andun naman ako sa tabi nya to guide her well pero iba pa rin na ito ang first time na sya ang humawak mismo. And I was happy for her because it was a success. Thanks God! Kaya heto na, totoong pupuntahan ko na ang clinic ko late na naman mamaya ang rounds ko.
"Doctora Seigfreid, you must really be up to be a clinical instructor. I saw how you handled the ER case a while ago with a young Doctor"
"I will try Doc Alzein"
"No, no trying my dear Doc Annika, you really need to be the clinical instructor for cardiothoracic surgery department not later than this year. I'll ready your papers."

Umalis naman sya at dumirecho na. Haii, kundi lang sya ang Chairman of The Board ng ospital na ito si Doc Alzein tatalikuran ko na talaga sya. Kaya heto ako ngayon natakbo papunta sa clinic ko.
