After holding her arm for awhile, I kissed her on the forehead. "It hurts Draco.... it hurts." She moaned. "I know baby. I'm so sorry." I whispered.
"This is my fault ok? Don't blame yourself." I tried to reassure her. "No it's not. I got it because of who I am. Not because of who I hang around with. It runs in the family. I swear Draco it's not your fault. And you better not leave me ok!" She was angry. "I'll never leave you. Never again."
That was the biggest lie I have told.
Lia's POV:
It had been a month. The battle of Hogwarts has begun. This place was no longer my home, but my hell.
Draco had been very supportive of the mark and would always kiss me and hold me as I cried.
We've been getting threats at school. Harry Hermione and Ron are no where. They mentioned they were going to take care of something but never said what.
I stood outside at night taking in the moonlight. It was very beautiful. The stars were perfect. The full moon shining down hitting any water around me.
I looked straight ahead and that was when I knew. Something bad was about to happen. A whole army of what seemed to be death eaters stood at a shield we put around Hogwarts.
I ran inside to warn everyone. "Death eaters! The battle!" I yelled.
They all began running around frantically trying to protect themselves as much as possible. Soon they would be in the castle and death would fall upon many innocent people. Maybe even me.
"Draco!" I yelled while trying to get through the crowd. I had no idea where he was but I needed to find him. If I were to die, I had to be with him.
Spells began to cast letting me know it had started. "Princess!" I heard. When I spun around there he stood. Fear in his eyes, but yet, still a smile on his lips.
"Let's go." He grabbed my hand and we began running, having no clue where we were going.
"Outside. It should be the safest place at the moment." I said.
We ran fast. Once we were out, I stepped back to look around. There was still faint screams from inside. Fire had started and the castle was falling apart. In such little time, things had gone to hell.
"Expelliarmus!" My wand and Draco's flew from our hands. A tall man with dark shirt black hair stood in front of me. I had never seen him before. I didn't even know anyone was there.
The wand pointed straight at me. "Wait! I'm a death eater too!" I lifted my robe revealing my dreaded mark.
"That's why I must kill you." His voice was monotone.
"Wait you can't!" Draco yelled.
"Avada kedarva!" He yelled.
That was the end. The end of me. The end of my life.
Draco's POV:
The second he yelled it, he was gone. I ran to her body that was now on the wet grass. "No Lia!"
I held her in my arms as tears began to pour. "Your all I have left don't leave me." I whispered. I could feel myself drifting into a dark hole. The hole I never wanted to feel again. Alone. No extra emotions.
No. She cant be dead. I love her to much. Pain consumed ever atom in my body. The tears came pouring faster then ever.
I could barley breath.
"Lia. Please. Please wake up. Please!" I shook her."Draco!" When I looked up Crabbe stood in front of me.
"She's gone!" I screamed. My hands were shaking and my heart was racing.
"Draco leave her..... save yourself." He whispered.
"No! No I can't!"
"She's dead."
"Go! Leave!" I swatted his away.
-
I sat crying to her for an hour. I finally gave up on her waking. She was gone. No pulse, no breathing, nothing.
"I will love you forever. I promise to never forget you ok? Your my soulmate Lia." A single tear dripped off of my face and onto hers. It looked as if she were crying herself.
I squinted my eyes shut not daring to look down again. I had a feeling I might just crumble.
"Mhm. Draco." I heard. My eyes widened and I looked down. Her eyes were open. "Lia!?" I yelled completely confused on how she was alive.
"H-how?!" I asked.
"I love you." She whispered with a tiny smile.
She sat up as if nothing ever happened.
This was not real. I was dreaming or seeing things.
Lia's POV:
How was I alive? You may be asking yourself. Well, I thought about it. Harry Potter, he survived from the love of his mother. The one person that loved him the most.
Draco loves me more then anyone I've ever met.
I don't know though. I could just be different.
"I love you so much Draco." I repeated.
A tear fell down his cheek and I could feel him breaking again. I wiped it away with my thumb and pulled his to my lips.
I planted kisses all over his face. I started with his cheek, moving to his forehead, then to his nose, and finally to his lips.
The kiss was passionate and kind. The world melted around us. Everything was fine in those moments. No death eaters, no mark, no death, perfect.
For now.
