It feels like I am dreaming, walking on clouds with no worries.
Two weeks ago Niall Horan asked me to marry him.
In the past weeks, everything changed.
There is no way I am leaving to go back to Germany after Nialls proposal so I applied to finish the rest of my studies online and the odds were in my favor.
My interns place at the house offered me to continue my work there, part time next to my studies and I gladly took their offer, all the kids mean the world to me and I am so happy to see them grow and gain back their confidence.
My mother couldn't believe her eyes when I send her a picture of me and the beautiful ring on my ring finger, she called me and I was surprised to hear her cry in the other end of the phone.
Telling Elise that I am now engaged was probably the most exciting part.
I booked her a flight to London and told her to come immediately, when I picked her up at the airport she noticed the ring on my hand and started freaking out, telling me how she thought Niall broke up with me or I was sick and couldn't tell her that over the phone.
The smile on her face never left for the whole three days she stayed with me and Niall.
I even decided to tell my father and we met at a restaurant in the heart of London.
His eyes got watery and he was trying his best not to cry in front of me, regret washing over his face when he realised that he missed my whole childhood and that his only daughter was now engaged.
When I asked him to walk me down the aisle he was surprised but took the offer and for the first time in a long time it felt like my family was complete.
Niall told me that we should wait for the wedding, to not rush things and I agree.
Our love will only continue to grow, no need to rush the wedding.
When the press found out, his fans went wild.
Knowing that their little, blonde lad from Ireland was now all grown up, brunette and even engaged filled their hearts with so much joy that I was bombarded with lovely messages and pictures.
I bite my lip looking at the textbook on my lap, my thoughts always drifting from the words on the paper to the words Niall sung to me that night he asked me to become his wife.
"I promise that I'll love you for the rest of my life".
The words never leave my mind, he made the biggest promise to me and I trust him that he won't ever break it.
I know that with him I will never be lonely, he will always do what's in his power to make me happy and I will do anything to keep him with me forever.
Niall knocks on the door of the spare guestroom where I am using the desk to study.
"You alright?", he asks quietly as to not disturb my thought process and I nodd, smiling at the sight of my handsome fiance.
His brown hair looks like melted caramel in the sunlight and his eyes sparkle with love.
" 'course I am", I reply and get up to kiss him.
"Can you come down to have lunch with me?", he asks and I could never resist his puppy dog eyes.
I agree, close my textbook where I haven't turned a page in hours anyways because I was too preoccupied with daydreaming about the man I am in love with.
In the kitchen we warm up some left over food and dance around to the music that's blasting from the speakers.
I laugh when he spins me around and kisses my face every chance he gets.
I definitely see my future with him, only with him.
He is my happiness and my light, without him I'd be lost and too scared to ever commit to a relationship because I saw how bad my parents marriage went.
I trust Niall with my life and I know he wouldn't leave me, we would both try to fix our relationship if it ever got to a point where it needs fixing.
We both start laughing uncontrollably when we realise that the smoke detector has gone off while we were dancing around.
Niall rushes to turn it off while I open the windows trying to get the smoke from the burned food out of our kitchen.
When I turn around to look at him, I feel love, only love for him and I know that the next years of my life are going to be magical and wonderful because from the day that I met Niall Horan, I was enchanted.
