Protecting you

Chapter 9

I watch as Tommy blows the head off another dummy. He's been in the firing range at least 3 hours a day in the past 2 weeks. I've been standing here for around an hour and he still hasn't noticed me. I know not to bother him right now though, thats something only Tubbo can do without coming out extremely injured.

Speaking of Tubbo, I see him enter before taking the gun away from his friend. Tommy looks at him confused before Tubbo wraps his around around Tommy's shoulders and leads him out of the room. The bond they have between them is strong, so strong I don't want to break it.

'~Tommy~'
"We are not getting ice cream Tubbo." I say as he drags me into a car. I sigh before getting into the driver's seat. He claps happily before sitting down in the passenger seat.

"Alright, where are we going?" I ask as I pull of the house. He leans his chair back before looking at his phone.

"Uh..." He says as he stares down at the device. I reach over and grab the phone and quickly glance down at it.

"JJ's seafood sound good? It says they have ice cream." I ask. Tubbo nods as I hand his phone back. ( JJ's is in cape cod and it has the best fucking calamari I've ever tasted. ) There's also a beach in Orleans, the next town over we could go to. If we're lucky and it's low tide we should be able to walk across the sand bars. It's almost sunset as well.

I get out of the car and walk to the counter top, I read the options before just settling with vanilla ice cream with a chocolate shell. Tubbo on the other hand orders a sea salt caramel swirl with sprinkles and a cherry shell. The worker hands us our ice cream and I pay, but not without protest from the shorter boy.

We did a little back a forth silliness of him trying to pay, me taking his cash and holding it in the air before giving the worker my credit card. As we leave I see the small pout on his face and I can't help but laugh a little bit.

"C'mon, how about we eat our ice cream then go to the beach to walk on the sandbars and watch the sun set over the ocean. Isn't that what you've always wanted to do?" I ask, his eyes sparkle a little bit as I open the back of the truck.

"Alright, but if you push me in the water I'm going to be upset." He says as he climbs into the truck. I smile mischievously before climbing in and sitting next to him.

"Tommy I'm serious." He says with a smile. I laugh before taking a bite of my ice cream. I let out a muffled scream as the cold ice cream comes in contact with my teeth. I chew the shell before swallowing and glaring at a laughing Tubbo who's put his ice cream down and is now rolling in the truck.

"Oh shush you." I say with a playful slap to his leg. He gets up before taking his ice cream again. Somehow, he's down to his last bite. I see him eyeing my ice cream and I roll my eyes jokingly before sliding it over to him and jumping down from the back of the truck.

"Beach time." I say, he jumps down and climbs into the passenger seat as we drive the maybe 5 minutes to the beach.

The second we get there Tubbo is out of the car before I can turn it off and rushing towards the beach. I look after him before quickly turning off the car and running after him. He takes his shoes off before standing up and continuing to rush towards the sand bars.

I kick my shoes off quickly as I follow him, he suddenly screeches before running back to me seemingly terrified. I raise an eyebrow as he comes to a stop next to me.

"Big crab..." He huffs out. I laugh at him before grabbing his wrist and leading him out to the edge of the sand bars. He glances at me before giving me a big shove, sending me face first into the water.

"You did not." I say as I stand up. He laughs before running for his life. I run after him and throw him in the water as well. He pulls me down with him as chaos follows suit.
