Chapter 10

'~Dream~'
I slam my face into the wall before falling backwards hopelessly. Nikki's words repeat in my head as I smack myself to get them out. He won't make the night, I'm sorry. He's gonna make it.

He has to, when else are we going to take our first shots with Tommy and Tubbo like we promised them?

He won't make the night...

We still have so much to do, George still hasn't seen a whale before. Sapnap and I were going to take him soon. He has to be there.

Wilbur still needs to come back, say his final goodbyes to you. You can't leave without saying goodbye to him.

He won't make the night- "NO!"

I curl up into a ball as footsteps comes rushing to my room. Bad swings open the door before seeing me and gasping. He walks over to me before rubbing my back and whispering comforting words.

'~Sapnap~'
I'm sitting next to George's hospital bed, Dream left ten minutes ago because he couldn't look at George like this. I stare down at him before for rowing my eyebrows and standing up.

"What happened to our competition huh? YOU CAN'T JUST GIVE ME THE WIN! YOU HAVE TO TRY TO LIVE LONGER THAN ME BITCH! SO GET UP! Please... Get up." I whisper the last part as my anger diminishes. I shake my head before sitting back down and setting my head on his chest.

His heart is beating, so slowly. So agonizingly slowly, it's like he's taunting me. Letting me hear his heart beat slow down until it stops completely. I growl at him as I remove my head.

"Sapnap... It's not his fault." A voice says from behind me. I whip around to face Eret tears rolling down my cheeks.

"YOU WERE IN HIS SQUAD, IT WAS YOUR JOB TO PROTECT HIM!" I scream, Eret flinches before his eyes turn hard.

"Sapnap quit. I know you're upset but we all are okay, I understand our bond with him was strong but if we're going to avenge him we're going to have to work together." He says. Anger still boils in my stomach as the older man reaches to hug me.

"I wasn't there to protect him..." I choke out as he hugs me close. He rubs my back as I cry into his shoulder. I fall to my knees as I hear the frantic beeping of the machine behind me. Nikki comes into the room before sighing and looking at me and shaking her head.

'~Wilbur~'
I open my eyes to find myself in a land of white and grey. George is walking away from me, I scream his name but he doesn't hear me. I can hear Sapnap screaming at him, George turns around with a sad look on his face before spotting me.

"You gotta outlive Sapnap for me okay? Join my team, he needs someone to compete with now." He says with a smile. I gasp as I realize what he means. I rush towards him but he's faster. He runs off and disappears. I collapse and wake to a damp pillow and a very concerned John in the doorway.

'~Tommy~'
I hear Dream's agonized scream as Nikki tells him the news. My heart sinks even more, I'm going to kill whoever shot George. I'm going to fucking murder them. Tubbo walks in shaking, I open my arms to him as he hugs me close. George was more like a father figure to him.

"He'll still watch us right? He has to." Tubbo mumbles into my shoulder. I nod against his head as I let out a few tears myself. We end up crying together, Dream's screams have faded slightly and Techno and Phill's rooms are completely silent. They're probably thinking hard about ways to avenge George, and when that happens I want Dream and Sapnap to be the ones to pull the trigger.
