[14 Years ago, we see a man in a cloak walking through the forest until he sees a house with a giant owl eye above the door before looking at the door and seeing a long brown thing coming from the door and going into a room upstairs. The man walks to the door before putting down a basket and walking away leaving it as the brown thing comes back down to the door revealing it to be Hooty. As Hooty get back to his position be smells something before looking down to see the basket and gasping]
Hooty: [Gasping] Did someone leave me a present!
[Hooty shoves his head into the basket before instantly bringing it out and hissing at it]
Hooty: [Hiss] This is my house, leave!
[But before Hooty could do anything the door opens revealing Eda]
Eda: What's a basket doing here?
???: [baby noises]
[That made Eda and Hooty back away quickly and look at the basket before seeing to small arms pop out of it as Eda slowly walks to it and sees a small baby Merlin in it before picking him up]
Eda: why is there a baby here?
Hooty: I don't know, hoot.
???: What's with all the commotion?
[The two turn around and see King standing there]
Eda: There's a baby at the front door.
King: Did one of your boyfriends finally get you pregnant? Then you left the baby at his house.
Eda: No. I would remember that.
King: Then what are we going to do about it?
Eda: Keep it.
King: Why!
Eda: You need a friend and this might help.
King: I don't need a friend!
Eda: You talk to a rubber ducky.
[A rubber ducky is on top of Kings head]
King: Maybe I do!
[Eda picks up baby Merlin and takes him inside as we see the man watching from a distance revealing it to be a man wearing a mask with two long, upward-facing horns. His eyes are hollow through the mask creating the appearance of having no eyeballs. He wears a large cape with white and brown, as well as gold trim as he walks away and everything goes black]
[ A witch quickly landing. She is standing against a dragon-like monster]
Gildersnake: Foolish child! I could swallow you whole! [hisses]
