Non binary!reader x class 1-A (fluff/normal)

This was requested by yeetimmarlie .

I wanted to write one like this to redeem the last one which I made a non binary! intersex reader by accident that was not originally requested but the requester didn't say much against so I left it alone.

I edited the "genderless female" part (when deku is explaining to Kaminari) because some people reached out to me and said that it may cause trouble to non-binary readers.

~ 3rd PoV ~

"We can ask (Y/n) herself." Kirishima suggested to everyone present in the dorm's common room. They were planning for the event they'll be doing for the school festival. Most of the class were coming down after changing to the common room to decide what they were going to do for the festival. (Y/n) had yet to give their idea. So the class was waiting for them to come down.

"Oh. There she is. We can ask her now." Midoriya pointed out.

"Oh. Hi (Y/n)!!" Mina waved at (Y/n) as (Y/n) cracked a smile and sat down on the couch beside Tokoyami.

"(L/n)-san. We need your idea for the festival." Iida said with a chop of his hand.

"Ne ne. (Y/n) we can do a salon thing with all the boys cosplaying in outfits Yaoyorozu will make for us. We, girls, can do their makeup and nails and everything. What do you think? Do you have something even better?" Hagakure grabbed their hands and sparkled a little from the light.

"Umm. I don't really have an idea but I do have one request."

"Oh. What is it?" Momo asked.

"Uh. Can you guys refer me with they or them? Uh. I don't like being referred as a girl." (Y/n) said shyly as they played with the end of their sleeves.

"But you're a girl right? Right?!" Mineta asked a little terrified. Sero tapped his mouth shut before he could say anything worse.

"Um. Biologically I'm a girl but I'm non binary so that's why..." (Y/n) avoided looking at their classmates and started to contemplate that if they did the right thing coming out.

"Wait. What's non binary?" Kaminari asked and got hit in the eye with one of Jirou's earphone jacks and told him to shut up.

"It means that she I mean they ar-"

"Who the fuck cares what that means? Just refer to her as 'they' end of fucking story. If you can't follow simple instructions like that, then you ain't worthy to be a hero asshole. Just drop the fucking topic and finish this shit. I wanna go to sleep." Bakugo shoved his hands in his pockets and stood behind (Y/n).

"But it's wrong. She's clearly a girl so it's should be 'she' right? I'll refer to her by how she looks like. A girl." Mineta interjects from behind the crowd.

"OI. What did I just say asshole!! Can't you understand something so simple?! Do you wanna die for defying what I said little fucker!! I'LL BLAST YOU THE MOO- hey hugfhdd" Bakugo struggled against Sero's tape.

"Mineta. You should learn to respect boundaries. It's clear what they want to be called so you are obliged to call them that or you can't have a conversation with the person." Iida apprehended him. Mineta huffed but stayed quiet.

"I-it's okay guys. Don't force it. It'll take time for some people to get used to it. Anyways, I just ignore it." (Y/n) smiled sheepishly.

"Well, we won't you let you ignore something so important anymore." Uraraka smiled at her friend.

"Yeah. It's manly to come out. And I'm glad you shared this with us, (L/n)." Kirshima grinned as he clashed his fists together.

"Alright. Then (Y/n), what do you think we should do for the festival. Mina wants a dance. Most of us want to a cafe but I thought a salon would be an interesting choice. What do you think?"Hagakure's clothes squeezed (Y/n)'s arm as (Y/n) flushed a little.
