y/n sat on top of her mother's car with a can of soda in hand and looked up at the starry sky.

her head nodded to the beat of the song that played loudly through her headphones.

suddenly, her music stopped. her phone began to ring

"who's calling me at 2 am?" y/n mumbled as she grabbed her phone from her sweater pocket.

todoroki.

"hello peppermint," y/n said in a soft tone.

"i told you not to- whatever."

y/n laughed softly as she began to get off of the car.

"where are you going?" todoroki questioned. y/n looked up at her neighbor's house and saw todoroki in the window. y/n waved, he waved back slowly.

"i was gonna go inside, why?" she smirked as she saw todoroki freeze up.

"uh-"

"you wanna go somewhere?" y/n sat on the concrete that made up her driveway and made direct eye contact with the bi-colored hair male.

"my father would kill me if he saw me sneaking out, you know that."

"if you get caught place the blame on me! like old times, you know?" y/n started pulling on the strings of her father's old sweater.

"fine, whatever." todoroki hung up.

y/n watched as the teenage boy walked away from his window and, seemingly, outside the house.

she stood up off of the concrete and adjusted her sweatpants. she realized her vans were untied, but she let them be.

she waited for a moment until she heard the familiar sound of his back door, the same door they would use when sneaking either in or out of the todoroki estate.

"shoto," y/n puckered her lips as todoroki pushed her away.

"l/n."

"aw someone cranky today,". y/n paused her music and turned her attention to the taller male. she looked at what he wore, a white tank top, a similar pair of sweatpants, and slides that were most likely waiting for him at the door.

"where are we going?" todoroki ignored her comment.

"no idea," y/n began walking towards the gate at the end of the driveway, todoroki quickly followed.

y/n waved at the security man. the man, who was now in his late 40's waved back as he opened the gate for the two teens to pass through.

y/n, being the night owl she was, had gotten to know the man throughout the years. the two had a close bond, he never ratted her out to her parents and she would bring him back skittles whenever she went on a late-night adventure.

"we need to stop at seven eleven, i need to pay my man."

"the security guard?" y/n nodded.
