Showdown at the Golden Saddle

Jennie's pov:
It's been a week since we last saw the lady, and it's taken a tole on me and my mental state.

Flashback to the day~
"Sweetie, i'm your aunt." the woman told me with tears in her eyes. "W-what? You c-can't be.." i tell her scared and on the verge of tears and starting to breath heavily. Emery, who was still besides me pulls me back my waist scared of the situation.

"Nini, breathe." he whispers to me trying to calm me down. The woman, who has apparently identified herself as my aunt looks between us and smiles sadly. She takes out a business card with her name, and her number. Chaeyoung lee.

"Call me when you're ready to talk hunny." she walks away and out of the restaurant and that's when i start crying. Emery hugs me, whispering "it's okay" in my ears, Eddie is sitting with us as well as Evan and they just comfort me.

End of flashback~
Ever since that day, i've been in a funk. I've wanted to try and call her but i've been to scared to. As of currently though, i'm in the car with the huangs because Louis said he had a surprise for us. "It's a sunny day in orlando," he narrates and i stifle a giggle. I'm sat in the back with emery looking out the window. "You're driving down the street—" "No you're driving." Jessica interrupts her husband. "It's to build suspense Mrs. huang, Mr. huang wanted to make it "dramatic."" I tell her.

"Thank you jennie, so imagine you're a beefy businessman absolutely hungry ready to eat-" "But i just ate." Mrs. huang interrupts and again and i giggle and roll my eyes a little. I hear eddie starting to rap to a song, of which the name even if i wished i remembered i really couldn't. "Mom, eddie's rapping at my always there bear." evan complains to his mother.

"Did they gave you that pin for narc-ing?" eddie asks sarcastically to his younger brother, obliviously annoyed. "Are you okay?" i hear emery whisper to me, i turn my head and see concern in his eyes. It had been a few days since we had all seen eachother and even when we saw each other at school i kept my distance.

"Mhm, just tired no need to worry too much." i tell him with a small smile. He smiles back and raps his arm around my shoulder and i snuggle into him a little. Recently (before the distancing and all) we were pretty touchy to an extent, just hugs and stuff. I stare at emery and he stares back smiling.

"Why is this billboard so far away?" mrs.huang asks, snaping me and em's out of our trance. I doze off abit because i was quite exhausted from the past few days, and before i knew it we were already back in the neighborhood. (ITS TOO COLDDDDDD FOR YOU HERE) (im sorry.. no i'm not..)

I get out of the van last.  "Ima head home now, i'll see you all tomorrow, later." i wave bye and head home to, surprise surprise, an empty home. Mom and Dad were working late again and we had left over pizza for me to eat. I head to my room and immediately pass out.

Emery's pov:
"Emery do you think jennie is okay?" evan asks me worried. "Yeah dude, she looked so thin and exhausted, she practically had bags under eyes." eddie ads on to evan's question. "To be quite honest, i'm not sure, i don't think so. But all we can do as of right now is be there for her, and care for her. Let her know she is loved." i tell my brothers. They nod, i know she's not okay but i don't want to push it for her. She'll tell us when she's ready.

Jennie's pov:
It's been a few days later since i saw the boys, and mom and dad have been coming home more late, and i know they know i know, ya know? Mom and Dad left a note when i was at school, saying i had to stay the night again at the huangs with nicole babysitting us. I see nicole outside the house with a sweatshirt and shorts, i adjust my belt a little and smile as she smiles back. (Outfit above)

"Hey you ready to go?" she asks me hands in her pockets. "As i'll ever be i guess." i tell her walking down the steps and linking arms and we walk over to her house with honey and marvin behind us. We knock on the door and eddie opens it squeezing something in his hands. "Oh, hey, girl. Didn't know you were coming over tonight. Caught me stretching my hands." he tells her, not seeing me i guess. I roll my eyes and laugh.

He finally sees me and his eyes widen. "Jennie? What are you doing here?" he asks obviously confused. Marvin and honey come up from behind bidding their goodbyes. "Bye, sweetie. Have fun babysitting." he tells her bidding goodbye. "Babysitting?" eddie asks confused. "Honey, i'm glad that you did not wear a yellow dress because i am wearing a yellow dress." Mrs. huang tells her.

Honey bids goodbye telling her she'll see her later. "Nicole, jennie, come in." she tells us waving us in. I removed my shoes before walking into the house. She gave us the ground rules and i'm not sure if this was intentional, but embarrassed eddie about his spicy food dislikes and how it makes him sick.

I walk away feeling second hand embarrassment and walk into emery and evan's room to them talking. "Hi Jennie!" evan beams at me happily waving. "Hi vv, em's." i tell them walking over to the bottom bunk. Evan comes over and sits on my lap and we all talk for a little until nicole calls us for dinner. We all sit and eat in silence, nicole had made us noodles.

She had grabbed the hot sauce putting it on her noodles, and motioning towards me almost as saying "want some?". I shake my head, and continue eating peacefully until eddie grabs it, and drowns his food in the hot sauce. I stare at him wide eyed along with his brothers. Eventually he runs to the bathroom not feeling well. I wince at the noises from the restroom.

Me and the two younger's went back to the room after cleaning up, and evan passed out almost instantly. "You wanna talk?" emery asks me. I bit my lip, looking down at my hands. "How about tomorrow? I'm just tired." i tell him, and he nods. We both lay down and i eventually fall asleep with me and him holding hands, and my back against his chest.
